We'll be celebrating a wee late. Our pagan group actually has a huge thing planned on the 3rd, so that's what I'm looking forward to. I do plan to have a solitary circle on Samhain, but the festivities on Saturday are what the kids are waiting for (who can blame them: good food, costume party, fortune teller, and loads other stuff)

Same here... There are many Pagans who get together for Samhain, though it's not public (as some of the locals get kind of freaked out over the rituals *Sigh*). It's always fun.. and the food is awesome.

But I have already "celebrated" tonight... my first Winternights, solitary.

Hope you have an awesome weekend. =)

Possibly, if I have time. I'm carving pumpkins this weekend with my family and some friends, so maybe I'll do some kind of pumkin ritual after. I'm trying to make time for a Samhain meditation on Sunday, so hopefully I'll do that. Then, instead of being my usual procrastinator self, I'm going to try to plan my ritual for the real night of Samhain. ;]

nope, got the night off of work to actually celebrate Samhain on the date. big surprise there for me.

People generally wear costumes symbolizing what they want to bring into their lives in the new year, but I'm just wearing my regular robes. I'm happy with how things are going in my life now.

We also carve pumpkins on two sides. A happy face on one side and a scary face on the other. Then we place the pumpkins around the circle with the scary faces facing outward to ward off any little nasties from circle.

Then we just generally feast and party the night away after ritual. :)

We celebrated our Winter Nights on the night before Thursday - the night of the full moon. The weather was great, cool enough for a fire but not too cold you wanna rush back inside.

Hope you have a fun Samhain!

Yes, we have a Thanksgiving-style feast, celebration of the Ancestors, etc, and we had to schedule it for tonight. I've got the turkey going right now! We're also doing our Full Moon tonight - two separate rituals. It should be an evening full of good, clean Pagan fun! :-)

at present i can not do something for Samhain in a collection, seeing as i've got moved faraway from all my wiccan friends. :( i think I'l in basic terms attempt and rejoice with the trip. Tag alongside with a number of my 'new' friends and flow to the spooky places of the city. The Graveyard maximum probable, pshah! i'm going to confirm they do no longer disrespect the ineffective whilst i'm with them. (Is it in basic terms me, or does every person here avert status in front of tombstones? that is like your status on the corpse itself. o_o!) even in spite of the undeniable fact that i visit mild some candles and forged some spells that paintings terrific in basic terms on Samhain, and flow on a walk some night just to rejoice with the night. =D..

We're going to a couple of events at friends houses, but we'll be doing a ritual here at home on the actual night with just the family.

Blessed be!

Not this weekend... We'll be having our festival feast on Wednesday!

This weekend we're watching Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, and the Lost Skeleton of Cadavra... And maybe Rocky Horror Picture Show (I'm not certain why, but certain other party goers said it's tradition ^__^).

No, my camping trip has been rained out.

So I'll postpone and do my ritual on Samhain itself. :-D After the Halloween party, of course.
