I am not interested in Christianity, Judaism, or Islam - so don't even try it.

I was thinking about joining a Unitarian church - but I'm not really into activism and social justice - or the pressures of donation. I do like their other principles.

I want to be able to go to a place that doesn't judge you or expect anything of you. I just want to learn more about spirituality and the interconnectedness of things.

The library is lonely - and I've tired of self-study.

Where can I go? Are there spiritual centers? Should I just take classes at the Annex? What do you do?

Please respect the community guidelines as you answer.

Do you really need a place of worship? Are you really looking for a community of spiritually minded people to hang around with? You mentioned the Annex, so I don't know if that is a reference to the Learning Annex in NYC. You might just want to take workshops at the Annex and the Open Center or the Omega Institute (in Rhinebeck, NY) and there are a bunch of other places that offer workshops in "spiritual-but-not-religious" or alternative spirituality topics. These things might be pleasurable to do at first--and are social. Then, as you go along, you'll find what most appeals to you and perhaps get drawn into a specific group or path.

You could try to look for or create a group that talks about religions. Somethimes those can help feed the want of talking to others about things like that. Usually groups don't expect anything from you. You make friends and you talk about what you want to.

Try a universalism church. They preach good morals not any specific diety.

You should be talking to God about that. He will tell you where to go. We all have a purpose.
