Many varieties of Mammalaria cacti are furry rather than spiny,and still have wonderful flowers!
Also,quite a few of them are smooth,and most are very easy to grow.

I THINK THAT U WANT a spineless prickly pear cactus!!
prickly pears flower with a big seed pod that is edible.

The blind opuntia is the prickly pear with no large spines. It does have many little fuzz like stickers that are extremely irritating. I am sure there are more as well.

There are also many euphorbs in Africa that flower and look like cacti. Many have thorns and some do not.

I know of the Star Cactus, produces rings of flowers.
