No, but I saw a real dead ghost. I rented in a basement room when I was in grad school, and I'd wake up to see "smoke" drifting across the ceiling. I'd get up and check for a fire, but there never was one.

One night, I came home, and there was a noisy party going on in the commons area. I wasn't interested in joining in, so I went into my room and locked the door. I got ready for bed, turned off the lights, and laid down. The party got really loud at that point, and I started to get up to ask them to quiet down a little. Standing just inside my doorway was a tall, transparent figure of a man in late Victorian clothing. I yelled, and he instantly disappeared.

Later that year, I was teaching an English 101 class, and it was close to Halloween. We were doing a unit on categorization, so for fun, I decided that we'd categorize all the alleged ghosts on campus. We'd gone through the stories that I already knew about when a boy raised his hand.

He said, "I know one! President Dearmont's house used to be right where the Lutheran Center is, and after his mansion burned down, people say they see his ghost in the chapel!"

President Dearmont was head of our college toward the end of the 1800's. His house sat on the same land as the Lutheran Center. . .and a certain rooming house right beside it. I'd always just assumed his house was on the site of the dorm that was named after him.

Wrong. . .oh, so wrong.

Um, no and frankly no one else has either and this is why: If they are REAL LIVE, they aren't ghosts, they're still people.
REAL DEAD, now that, is another story.

No. But my friend "said" she did. She said it was a woman dressed in a wedding gown and she was walking down her hallway. She also said that it looked just like her aunt, who had died and she died before her wedding. I don't know much more about it though.
