I came across your question and thought I would check 2008 Altima service manual and Bullitens for any Surging issues. I am a Nissan Master Technician and really interested in helping Nissan Owners get the best service possable. 2007 and 2008 Altimas have been almost flawless your problem has me interested. 4 Cyl. Or V-6 what transmission how does it pulsate warm and cold? what speed? and does changing the gear ratios manually affect the surge/pulsate. My 2008 Nissan Altima is still under warranty! I don't worry about the problems it is(n't) having. I drive it straight to the dealer if there is an issue.
