- stuff from bath and body (was thinking gift baskets w/ lotions, lip balms, body sprays, and maybe throw in a little shower radio)
- a spa gift certificate to use at various locations
- clothing of some type - like nice pajamas from victoria secret or something
- some sort of tote bag (without their names on it)
- something more personalized like little jewelry boxes

I'm not going to give jewelry or pictures. Wedding is around the corner and I need to narrow down some ideas quickly. I'd really like to give them a nice yet affordable gift.

I would really love the tote bag with the pair of nice pajamas from VS in it. Victoria's Secret (I think) is having a sale...last year around this time, I bought really soft nightshirts for $11 each.

Spa certificate is the best solution BUT only if the certificate will be enough to totally cover at least one full service like a pedicure or manicure, etc. Also, it depends where you would buy it. I have received gift certificates for spas where I had to drive 45 km. to the place and it was very inconvenient. Same goes for restaurant certificates - a gift of $25. off a meal at a place where the cheapest entree is $27.95 is no gift! And a spa certificate for $25. when the cheapest service is $35.00 is not nice either as it almost forces the person to go to a place that they normally wouldn't go, and spend money they wouldn't normally spend. If you can find a spa that has locations where each girl lives, and if you can afford at least $50.00 each, then go for it! But please stay away from candles, perfumed bath oils, lotions....scents that you might love might make someone else physically ill! You sound like a very nice person, not a bridezilla, as you are so concerned about pleasing your attendants!

I would appreciate the spa certificate or comfy loungewear.

I would NOT want a gift basket from Bath and Body. Many perfumes irritate my nose and throat, so I would not want someone else choosing lotions and body sprays for me. I'm afraid that would end up in the garbage. Lots of women have their own favorite brands and scents, and so may not appreciate what you choose for their basket.

Like many women, I have a million tote bags and little jewelry boxes, so I probably wouldn't appreciate either of those. I don't think you can go wrong with the gift certificate. They can then get whatever service they really want, or at least have some of an expensive one covered. Have a great wedding!

I'd love anything from Bath and Body Works.

I'd also love a spa gift certificate.

Eh, the jewelry boxes and tote I could do without.

I always like getting gift baskets, but the truth is I never wind up using the stuff in them. A year later, I throw out unused body lotions and body sprays.

I like the spa gift certificate the best. One person above said she's just give it away - well, you know your bridesmaids, would THEY like going to a spa?

I got a monogrammed cashmere scarf as a thank you (depends on the weather where you live obviously) and I still love it.

Go with the spa everyone will love it. If that is to much do the gift baskets for the bath and body . It like a spa day . Good luck

Every year I get a gift from bath and body and every year I hate it. That stuff literally stinks. Spa gifts are nice. Pajamas are ok. Who needs another tote bag or jewelry box?

The spa certificate is nice if it only indicates a service, not a price. The price one is too impersonal. Otherwise, go for the pajamas where you can pick somewhat personal styles that suits each girl... maybe add some slippers and a note suggesting a girls at home spa party!

Spa gift certificate is best -- just try to make it for a particular service ("One free hour of massage therapy" or "A full day pampering"...etc) instead of for a dollar amount. Whenever possible, it's best to not divulge how much money you spend on a gift.

No tote bags. Jewelry boxes okay, but only if you pick them out individually based on the styles and interests of your maids. Like if one of them is really interested in African art you might get her one in from an authentic store that sells items in that style.

The stuff from bath and body is an okay idea, but only if they're really into that stuff. Otherwise it looks like you're just saying, "Oh, look, you're a woman. You must love lotion and smelling like a peach cobbler." Not everyone likes that and I know some people who would find it very impersonal.

Clothing sounds like a nice bet -- but I'd get them clothing that fits their personal style. They are, most likely, all wearing the same dress for your wedding....you should definitely take into account their style and body types for their gifts.

Hi and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

My #1 choice would be the spa gift certificate.
My #2 choice would be the clothing...the pj's from Victoria's Secret.

Either of those would be VERY nice. OR, you could mix and match. Do you have a bridesmaid that maybe is not the "spa" type? Then get her the pj's. Others, get the spa certificate.

Good luck!

Bath and body works gift basket is great.

May I suggest a gift card from Victoria's Secret. Everyone will LOVE that one and you won't have to worry about not having the right scent or size.

Good luck

PS/ Everyone gives tote bags with flip flops and tank tops, and the tired jewelry. Seen it a million times. Blah
