I woke up this morning and it hurts to swallow again. I have a fever (99-101). I have the white pus pockets AGAIN. I just got done with my tonsillitis antibiotics on Monday morning. Do I have tonsillitis again, or do I have strep throat (which I've never had)? Should I go back to the doctor?

Go back to the dr and get retested and also get tested for mono.

Sometimes you have to go back to the doctor to get more antibiotics because the virus isn't always completely gone once your done with the antibiotics he gave you.

Strep throat is very dangerous--if it goes untreated it can cause kidney damage--see your doctor.

you might go get tested for Mono...no kidding, my son just had it and that's the only way they even thought to test for it! Good luck!
