I share a flat with a girl (not girlfriend just someone who i was roomed with). she has this habit of taking food with her when she goes to the toilet. sometimes wrappers have been left on the floor or in the toilet and sometimes crumbs and stuff are eith on the floor or toilet seat. i don't really mind cleaning it up but i don't feel i should. how do i get/ask her to stop?

Why don't you politely explain that you do not care where she eats, but you would like it if she does make sure to clean up after herself as she is an adult and you shouldn't have to clean up after her.

Do you want her to stop eating on the toilet, or clean up after her own mess? The only thing you'll probably be successful with is asking her to clean up her mess. Ask her straight out, "Hey, would you mind cleaning up your trash in here?"

This one takes the cake, what is she so busy with that she has to take her meals on the crapper? So which hand does she wipe with while she's chowing down on the loo. Tell her it is highly unhygienic the toilet is not the dining room. She sounds utterly disgusting ; you should kick her out. Last resort make her a sh*t sandwich, she wont know the difference.

Yuck! Disgusting and disrespectful. Definitely ask or tell her to clean up after herself. Don't be shy about it. Some women think it's a man's job to do everything for them or they can do anything they want b/c they're females and no one is the wiser. You are and should say something as you both have to live there.

It's a difficult situation. You may just be better off approaching her directly about it, in a respectful manner, and asking her to stop. After all, she doesn't live there by herself and if you don't tell her about it, she won't know that there's a problem. You should never have to clean up after an adult. bottom line.

Just tell her.

"Please clean up after yourself. Seeing crumbs and wrappers not in the trash is just nasty. I'm not your mother"

If talking to her does not help, pick up her trash and throw it UNDER her covers of her bed.

Maybe she has a problem eating in front of you. She could be scared or something. Next time she goes in, tell her to clean up.

Tell her to pick up after herself or else you will start giving her a cleaning service bill

Joke about it and say something like, ' hey why don't you invite me to dinner in there w/ you? '

Or just say ' hey. last time when you were done, you left a mess - can you be a little more careful and clean up? '

Don't ask. .. tell her to knock it off, and you stop cleaning up her mess. She made the mess. . . then she should clean it up.
