I'm hoping this will really be the weekend I don't work so I can rest spiritually, physically, and mentally.

Observed Winternights yesterday---spirit feast and blot.
Today is all about naps and laundry, the latter of which is actually a spiritual activity in my Folkway--the ancient Norse word for Saturday is "washing day," which is why it's the only one in English named for a Roman god instead of a Germanic one, lol. Sunday is Mom's birthday dinner with the family, and Monday I'm taking my own birthday off work in order to participate in the great American religion of Monday Night Football---my Packers are playing the Broncos, in Denver, and if they're ever going to win in Denver (they've beaten the Broncos many times, but never at home) this would be the year. :-)

I have been gone for a week so I have a lot of things to get done to be sure my life stays in order, or gets back on it's normal track. Shopping and running around doing errands, this will fill up Saturday. I will sleep in late on Sunday so I will be in good shape to get back to work on Monday. This is not too much different then any weekend, just a little more intense because of my time off.

I have a baking party tonight for the Halloween Festival at the UU Church I go to. The Witches there will be doing a Samhain Ritual (I'm there for pagan moral support as I don't work magic) and then we'll have a feast and then on Sunday I'll teach K-1st Sunday School at the UU Church. I had a Winter Nights ritual last weekend. I'm busy!

Spend time with God in prayer and worship. I regret having to cut this short during the work week, but Saturday is my day to just "unload" all of the mental junk that I've accumulated during the week.
I can't begin to tell you how therapeutic this has been for me. I don't think that I could be as mentally and spiritually healthy as I am without this alone time with God.
