If someone asks a question about the way Christians think, don't you think it would be better answered by Christians?
If someone asks a question about the way Atheists think, don't you think it would be better answered by Atheists?
Why answer a question that you don't know anything about?
Alot of the answers from Atheists on this question were just downright wrong and did not reflect the way I think as a Christian:

Good answers Riegan and Chipper - But isn't that generalizing?
Mr. Taco - My question was way more simpler than that. I never said about either asking questions about one another. I said why answer something about the way someone else thinks. You don't know what other people think. Very simple question that was taken out of context.

somethingtrinity - I like your honesty lol & I know how you feel! I have many times started to answer something and then stopped myself or have already answered it and deleted it out of embarrassment for me and my fellow Christians.

sabapsych - again one does not know what I think...I didn't say nobody knew about my beliefs. Also nobody on here does know what my beliefs are as a Christian anyways. I am not Baptist yet they are Christian...I disagree with alot of what they believe so...

I question your theory that not believing in something means that you don't know anything about it. You don't believe that atheists should ask Christian questions and vice versa, but you still have an opinion on it. What's the difference? You have opinions on atheists, don't you? Of course you do! You DO know something about them, even if it isn't everything. Knowing "everything" about something is not a proper qualification for expressing an opinion, because most things no one can ever know "everything" about. Christians prove on here every day that they don't know everything about Christianity. It is proven by their diverse answers. Same holds true for atheists. Everyone has a right to express their opinion here, religious or not, provided they do not break the rules and guidelines of the community.

Corinna, your question sounds as if you believe that only Christians know what Christians believe. That's much too narrow a world view, if I may say so. Take the Mormons, for example. They constantly make the case on this board that they are the only ones who know about their religion, its history, and its unorthodox doctrines. Yet most of them know NOTHING about the true nature of their church. Should Christians just be quiet and not fill them in on the truth because they're not Mormons? We can often gain very valuable perspectives about ourselves from those who are on the outside looking in.

Yes, everyone likes to get their point across though. I agree, nothing in there says anything that will make me love the Lord less.
Atheists have their views on what we think too, it is based on our actions as Christians, and sometimes I have to agree, I can't blame them for their conclusions on our attitudes.
I will edit in a moment.

well, considering many christians tell atheists that atheists actually believe in god but just hate him, i think that gives atheists the right to occasionally give input as to what christians think (which is usually based on what a christians has told them in the first place)

Hey, if christians are constantly trying to ram their religion down everyone's throat, I don't see why we can't put in a bit of input every now and then.

well a lot of atheists were christians at one point.
thus they have the right to answer as they once thought. imo. after all, i spent over half my life in a christian school. half of my life was dedicated to your god. so essentially im just as much christian as i am atheist. though im not proud of it. lol
