If you murder someone in your dreams, are they really dead? Of course not. Same holds true for all "sins." Dreams are not real, so the sins are not real. Besides, "sin" implies intent. You can't help what you dream about, and are therefore not morally responsible for what happens in them.

I don't know. I think it might say something about you. Recently I had a dream where I did something pretty bad, and thought nothing of it. I worried about it for a while and I think you have to pay such a situation some attention and work through it, but in a lot of situations I don't think it's a true sin. But in order to be truly righteous you need to achieve right thought as well as right action. So it might be something to think about.

If you believe in sin, maybe. Catholics call it having impure thoughts. At least they did when I was a Catholic. As I have been in recovery for the last 20 years, I'm not sure if it's still considered a sin or not. If you'be got so little sin in your life that you're concerned about uncontrollable thoughts, you're either doing very well, or probably extremely bored.

No. Your dreams will often reveal the sins that are committed in your mind and heart. It isn't a sin to dream sinful things but more of a revelation to you that you are having sinful desires or thoughts.

Are we quintuplets? It's not necessarily a sin but it shows a deep-seated tendency to sin. That is the reason why I consider myself a weak Christian. It happens to me too. I do believe that, by a consistent prayer life, and mindfulness of our actuations, these dreams will be gone. You know like nightmares. I can easily win over nightmares..."in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!", kiai!. Usually works.

WOW, that is a crazy question. I never thought about it. I will have to give you a star and check back to see what others say.

I would you answered you own question though, we are sinning in our dreams. People say dreams are you subconcious well Jeremiah says " the heart is decietful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it?" I think we are all filthy inside. That is why we need a savior.

No. You have no control over your dreams and you are not actually thinking about or doing the things in your dreams, so they are not sinful. If you are talking about daydreaming or fantasizing though, that can be sinful.

No its not, but sometimes God will show sin to you in a dream b/c there is something that you might be doing that does not give him glory.

Remember, "sin" is nothing more than a nonsense word created by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet control.

Sin is a disease of the mind, born of fear, which has done nothing but bring untold misery down upon the human race.

I hardly think you can be held responsible for an act you commit in a state of unconsciousness. I am yet to learn of anyone who has been in full control of their faculties in such a state of existence. Hence the reason, some people drool, toss in their sleep or sleepwalk.
