I t was many years ago, but as I recall pain wasn't too bad at all. It was definitely worth doing. Feel so much better afterwards. Good luck.

I had a breast reduction 6 years ago when i was 17, i did not get a lift with it, but the surgery was good. I was in a lot of pain for the first 5 days and then it slowly went away....you should not have any pain after 14 days or so. But the doctor should give you some pain killers that will help the pain....Good luck, having a breast reduction was the best things i ever did

I had a breast reduction 6 months ago when I was 21. I went from a HUGE 34G to a small perky 34DD- they are awesome now!!! I had my surgery on a Wednesday at 10 am and checked out of hospital the next day at 9.30am (not even 24 hours in, it's great). I was given 5 days worth of strong pain killers, although I was not really in any pain until about 4 days later. My Plastic Surgeon and the nurses all agreed that I was on a bit of an adrenaline high so luckily I didn't really need the pain killers, hopefully this will kick in for you too.

Occassionally in the weeks and months after my op, and sometimes even now I can get mild stabbing pains but it is really nothing bad.

The after results of this surgery outweigh the pain so much that pain was not a factor for me.

Congratulations on your decision to get this done and all the best

I had it done. I went from a 40DDD to a 38 C/D. It is a little painful. Just make sure you don't lift more than like 5lbs. Also change your dressings so you don't get an infection. I had the drains removed the next day and all was fine. A little fluid was still in there and then the next week It leaked out. freaked me out at first because there was a warm gush down my side, but apparently it's normal and my body was expelling the fluid so it didn't cause an infection. I have no regrets. Just remember this is a major surgery and your body will go through a lot of trauma. Your emotions will too. You may feel scarred or disfigured the first few times you look at yourself, but that does go away. If you have any deprression or anxiety like I do I would talk to your doctor or therapist or whomever...and let them know what you are having done. They will be there to support you and help you through it. If you have any questions or just need to talk after the surgery feel free to email me. I have 2 friends who have had it done as well.

I've never had it done (athough someday when i lose more weight i will), one of my younger sisters had it done when she was- oh gosh right out of high school- so she was around 18- she's now 26- married with two children (and she breasfed both of them for 7+ months) Anyways- the pain for her was pretty bad- although she says it wasn't- i think she just doesn't remember it! It didn't last too long though- basically it's like pain from having any surgery. I think the pain you go through afterwords (mostly soreness- but they give you meds) is worth it- compared to living the rest of your life unhappy and uncomfortable with your larger breasts. Best of luck to you- hope things go well.

She had a lift with hers- because of her reasons for having it done- her insurance covered it (ie- bra digging into shoulders etc etc..) and she had it done at a pretty nice plastic surgeons office- they had valet parking- the works. Anyways- if I remember right- she came home the same day. I remember her laying on my moms couch not being able to move much and helping her change the ice packs/bandages - but that only lasted 4 or 5 days.. and then everytime someone would come over- they'd all want to see her incisions etc etc-- she was funny- she'd say "want to see" and whip her shirt up. lol- didn't matter that our uncle was standing right there! haha.. Anyways though- even after 8+ years and 2 children her breasts still look amazing. I know she is so glad she had it done!

Breast help surgical procedure is orientated in the direction of girls with large, pendulous breasts, because the load of their breasts would reason neck, again, shoulder, circulate, or respiratory issues. the load would also reason discomfort hence of brassiere straps abrading or hectic the exterior. even if actual discomfort isn't a situation, some women sense awkward with the enormity of their breasts in share to at least some thing else of their particularly smaller bodies. help mammoplasty supplies the recipient smaller, lighter, and fewer attackable breasts. The familiar practitioner would also cut back the dimensions of and adjust the kind of the areola or nipples. except in unusual circumstances, this technique is done on those with totally-stepped forward breasts. it really is not suggested for women who want to breastfeed, because it ought to impair the probability of breastfeeding success and significantly shrink the quantity of breast milk produced using surgical disruption to the lactiferous duct equipment in the breast. although, distinct study have confirmed an identical potential to breast feed even as breast help sufferers are compared to regulate communities.

i haven't personally, but i know some one who said the pain she did have was worth not having the shoulder/back pain from having big breasts. Do you think I can go with you and they can give me what you don't want? Good Luck...and Get Well Soon!

I didn't have it done, but a co-worker of mine did. She did it because she had so much back pain. She said the reduction was tons more painful than she was lead to believe and it took her several weeks longer to recover than expected because she got an infection. After a few months though, she said she was really happy she did it despite the long recovery and she lost quite a bit of weight and looks much thinner.

My cousin had it done, and she was out of the hospital in under a week, and they kept her pretty duped-up on pain meds. She said there wasn't too much pain. Good luck with your surgery!
