There is no any way a corset can damage a hymen. Corsets as I know are now worn as a top garment rather than as underwear. But even if you are using it as underwear, it won't even get in touch your genital part.

Perhaps you are thinking of the effects of the generated pressure inside due to corset tightness that probably can POP OUT your hymen.....NO, NO, NO! Hymen will not be damaged that way.

Hymen is composed of folds of mucous membrane that is quite elastic after puberty. That means it won't be easily damaged. You may had heard that some saying it will be damaged by some strenuous sports, use of tampons, biking, genital examinations, etc. but normally, those things won't damage as well (perhaps some exceptions of extraordinary conditions). The hymen needs to be stretched out to be damaged as in sexual intercourse.(It is also possible that sex may not damage it in some cases). An injury that directly damages the hymen such as falling into a top of a "tube" could be another rare cause.

OK, corsets are mainly used to trim down the waist to have an "s-curve figure". Due to its tightness, it may possibly cause shortness of breath and faintness if worn too tight. As it is pressing the body tight, expect that the internal organs may be compressed too and may be dislocated. The amount of what you eat or drink may be decreased. Expect to experience some indigestion, heartburn or constipation as some of the consequences. Rib fracture is also possible to happen as well as some chafing of the skin.

If you wear it too tight, you might cause yourself breathing difficulties, or even puncturing lungs or the stomack or the liver by breaking ribs. This happened on occasion during the victorian era, when women were beleived to be unable to stand without a corset. They were worn so tight, people had "fainting couches" in most rooms. Other than that, no problem. BTW The hymen is at the opening of the vagina. I can't see a corset damaging it.

A corset doesn't come ANYWHERE near touching anything in that area. Not to worry. The only damage that I can possibly imagine would be if you made it too tight and you couldn't breathe.
