Honestly?

I cried. I asked God how He could love me and let me suffer. I got so sorry for myself that I stayed by myself. I was just plain sad.

Then, when I was tired of the 'poor-me-one' syndrome, I cleaned myself up, got going again with new resolve to fight and said "Alright God! What now? What do you want me to do?"

The main thing was to stop the self-pity and jump right back in the ring - bruises and all.

Lost faith in the people who tried to tell me what I should believe but could offer no answers or true hope, and began to believe in myself and take control of my own future.

Unfortunately alcohol helped. I don't advise being dependant on anything to help you. Find someone to talk to. Good luck to you.

People really aren't all that fragile. I have suffered many losses and always got the support I needed from my friends and family.
