Why would using birth control make you go to hell? I think it's a responsible and good thing to do. If you do not want more children, you should make steps to make sure that you don't get pregnant. I think your sister needs to mind her own business and stop worrying about your soul (I'm sure she has her own drama to deal with)

I'm a 24 y/o wife and mother of 3. A 3 year old, a 17 month old and a 3 month old. We are practically in the EXACT same boat! I also got my tubes tied after my last baby. If your sister believes that those are reasons for eternal damnation, then I guess I'll be there with ya. lol
You're sister is being silly. I'm a Christian and I believe that only unsaved people are in hell. Some people believe there is no hell at all, so either way, I guess I'm safe. lol
Its incredibly unkind for your own sister to say something like that to you. I'm sorry for that.

That's your decision. Do you believe in God and Hell? If so, what religion are you? What does your religion say about contraception in relation to sin? What do you think the chances of your religion being the "real" religion are?
Personally, I think that you live your life the best you can and try to be a good person, and that's what matters. If you have three kids and you don't want to have more, I don't see why getting your tubes tied would be a problem. Your sister's being spiteful and judgemental.

No.
If God wants you to have another child, He will give you one whether you have your tubes tied or not. Tying the tubes doesn't stop pregnancy 100%. There was a couple that had the tubes tied, a vasectomy and was on the pill and still got pregnant.
God will not be thwarted.
Tell your sister to mind her own business and to remember "Judge not lest ye be judged". She may just wind up in hell for judging others.

First of all, who is she to judge? Let she who is without sin cast the first stone. She has no right to say such a mean thing to you.
She should remember that she shouldn't try to pluck out the mote from her sister's eye while she still has a log in her own.
I am 22 with three kids, and they are a lot to handle - 5 years old, 3 years old, and one year old. If three is as many as you want, you have the right to take steps to keep it that way.
I'm going for a dozen myself, but that's just me. ;-)

If there even is a hell, getting your tubes tied would not warrant going to hell. Are you supposed to keep producing babies that you may or may not be able to feed, clothe and support? That's ridiculous. Tell your sister that she's far more likely to go to hell for being a judgmental biotch. "Judge not, lest ye be judged"- I believe that was the one....

jeesh
first of all
i dont believe inhell
second of all: do you believe everything your sister said
3rd: getting your tubes tied makes you not have childeren
so does using a condoom
both are rejected by the church
do you go to hell for wearing a condom
maybe (if it would exist) but hell would be a crowded place
so dont worry about being lownly :)

Your sister does not get it. I assume that she thinks god will send you to hell. She does not get it.
There is nothing in the Bible that says that you should not take steps to control pregnancy any more than it says you cannot have sex outside of marriage. Religious leaders, under the guise of "inspiration from on high", "answered prayer", or worse, "visits from angels/god/mary/jesus", made these rules. They point to passages from the King James Bible, forgetting that that version was edited by a king that wanted a divorce and started his own church to get it.
Remember what the new testament teaches-live your life inside some simple rules, all in the bible, and if you beleive in heaven that is where you will go.

Im guessing she is Catholic? Catholics dont believe in birth control because it is essentially abortion they way they see it. The only method Catholics find moral is the calender method, which is ofcourse completly unreliable and why you typically see catholics with lots of kids.
But no, you are not going to hell for making a choice on whether or not to have any more kids. This is your own personal choice. Tell your sis to back off.
