yes i do. denominations cause division. arguing over small insignificat detains causes division. Knowing if the rapture with be pre or post tribulation, waxing inellectual about is speaking in tounges is right or wrong, arguing over the meaning of a certain parable, all these things take away from what Jesus was trying to do.
We are supposed to be unified in Christ. We are to repent of our sin and accept Him as Lord. we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. we are supposed to be all one body!
all the other information from the Bible is good, and can bring us closer to God. But it was never God's intent for it to cause division.
we need to stop looking at what makes us differnt and focus on what makes us the same. Then we will be a church united. Then we will be what God intended.
Will it ever actually happen? i dunno. But i do my best to love everyone, not judge and not seperate myself from other believers because they dont believe the same thing as me concerning the not so important details.

I'm sorry, organized religion is necessary. Imagine the Boy Scouts that never meet or go camping together. You would just have a bunch of individual boys in green shirts hanging out at their living rooms.
We just need to work within the structure and keep it alive with the true meaning of the Gospels and not get caught up in ritual and tradition to the determent of the actually substance of faith. Nothing wrong with ritual and tradition if its in its proper place. Christmas without a tree and presents and stocking and cards etc can be pretty stark. Christmas with all the tradition and rituals and everyone is arguing and fighting and don't talk about Christ is pointless.

Yes, that is a good way of putting it. The message of Christ has been distorted and manipulated with the false teachings of unbiblical "traditions".
2 Timothy 4:3-4 declares, “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”

I think so too. I know people who start out preaching really inspired. But because they are enemies of the devil, the latter would certainly try to alter that, and often succeed. Organized religious groups can be like any other mafia. It's in the New Testament somewhere, that false teachers will make big business with the Sciptures. All those Bible translations may have the enemy's hand in them. It's saddening.

Christ's message would have been lost completely if religion were unorganized. Debate and argument are good, but the fighting sure hasn't helped to spread the Gospel of love and salvation.

I think Revelation 22 says a lot about what Christ thinks of it. They can water it down, add and subtract from it and others have Banned it...It still lives and Truth remains the same.

Yes. Jesus knows what we are doing and is probably saddened. The church can almost stiffle a believer's desire to love others and serve others and help the needy and afflicted. The church has copied our government's way to get things done with all the bickering and red tape.

Yes, completely agree and couldn't have said it better. Ever take a look at GodTube.com? Over half of the BS on their makes me so angry. I think Christ would be (/is) confused and frustrated at how we can misconstrue all of his teachings and how far we can take them out of context.

I think so. I think many religious leaders, therefore their followers too, got too wrapped up in the small details of the religion that really don't matter as much as love for God, Christ, and your fellow human.

Religion and doctrines of men yes............watered down and has almost killed the true message of Jesus Christ. thankfully the original seed of God' s word is incorruptible and will emerge victorious in the end.
