I would say she looks like she has some border collie in her based on ear shape and facial features. that should make a very smart dog, so you should hope for that!

I know that people are going to say no way, but she looks exactly like my dog when he was a puppy right down to the white on the chest. He happens to be a Lab/Chow X. Hopefully she isn't if you are hoping that she will stay around 40# since my guy is now 85#!! She is really adorable though!

Look at the size of those paws! She will most likely be a lot more than 40lbs full grown!
I think she is part Shepard, you can tell by the face and ears.

She looks a lot like a dog my sister had. His mom was 100% rottweiler, his dad was a lab/GSD mix. So I'm going with lab/shepherd/rottie mix for your girl. She sure is cute!
