In the past I have always sent my Mum and Dad their Christmas presents using USPS (Post Office) surface mail. It would take about 6-8 weeks to get there but was much cheaper than airmail. Now the Post Office tells me it only does airmail. The box weighs about 30 pounds and will cost a couple of hundred dollars to send airmail. Any ideas please - I'm desperate. I can send the box out now in plenty of time for Christmas but I need a cheap, ground or surface method. Thanks.

try UPS. They often have decent shipping rates. Go to UPS.com or you could also try Fed Ex
Just look up shipping companies located in your area and do price comparisons. You can do this with a basic google internet search.

PACKAGES take from 15- 30 days. A lot of the time difference is dependent upon how long it takes for the package to go through customs. Since we are not in a holiday rush period, you have a better chance that you will get in in less than 30 days.

Typically, USPS is the cheapest way. If there are multiple items, it might be cheapest to break it up into separate packages and ship it via USPS Global Priority Mail.

Try Fedex, Purolator or one of many other companies in the same line of business.

airmail is your best bet- that is as cheap as it goes unless you break it up.
