First thing: Have you tried the dress on yet?
It is a beautiful dress in the picture, but you might find that after you try it on, it just isn't "the one!" You can go to a bridal shop and try on this dress, and a few others without an obligation to buy. Just let them know that you are just starting to look.
If it is "the one," inquire about sample sales and start watching ebay. Also see if you can rent the dress.
You might also be able to find a similar dress for a lot less. Check out this website:
http://www.houseofbrides.com/home.php
I plan to buy my dress from here.
If the dress isn't the one, then start trying on dresses in your price range.

Two things:
1- Agree with all who said you must try it on first- as a matter of fact, try on as many dresses as you can, even the ones you think you'll hate. You really don't know how they will look until you do, and you might be shocked at the ones you end up liking. I had a dress in mind, l loved the pic of it- on me it looked dreadful, and it was back to the drawing board. You MUST try on.
2- DO NOT buy a dress you can't afford. If you are on a $500 budget, then the highest you can go is $650- that's breaking your budget. I know someone who bought a dress that cost close to $4,000. She couldn't come close to affording it. It didn't look that great on her, honestly everyone I've known who got a dress at David's looked better than her. She had some pipe dream that she could sell the dress on eBay and get back at least half of her money- which of course is crazy. No one bids more than 15% of the original price of the dress. So now she is stuck with a huge credit card bill that she still hasn't paid off two years later. Do not be tempted to do something like this! You can find an affordable dress, one that you will love, just keep looking and trying on!

Here's some that might work? They all were listed under $600 on the knot. I don't blame you for wanting the dress it is gorgeous. I also had wanted a dres that was out of my price range, I called the company and they said the dresses started at $10,000 and went up! I found a similar dress for $600 and it was 1/2 off after that only $300!

That is a beautiful dress and I have not seen a dress with a back like that before. Very pretty.
It doesn't seem all that complicated, though. Take the pictures to a tailor and see what she/he says. It may be relatively inexpensive to make for you.
eBay is another good option. You might be able to find the actual dress for much cheaper -- and if not there are plenty of knock-offs and dresses in a particular style. Be careful, though...I bought a dress on eBay that was "custom-made" to my measurements. It was chiffon fabric -- like yours -- and the poor quality sewing job was really obvious and it didn't fit or fall well. Much better to take a custom-job to someone who actually sees your body.

If you have tried on the dress and cant live without it. Ask if you can buy the floor model normally it is half the price or lower because it needs to be dry cleaned and has something missing. Even if the floor model is to big you can have it taken in. I do have to say try it on if you haven't I thought I had my dream dress till I tried it on! It was horrible but my maid of honor found the perfect dress for me by accident. Try eBay, and other bridal shops they might be have it on sale!
Best wishes and good luck in finding your special dress.

I'd go to a bridal store, fit the dress and have my mom or MOH take pictures of it from every angle. I'd buy fabric that I like (cheap if you know where to look) and bring the pictures and the fabric to a good seamstress. You can even "merge" dresses = the neckline you like on one, the bodice of the other... just as long as they look alright together you'll be fine.

Hi and congratulations!
Wow! That dress is pretty, but certainly not worth that kind of money. Here is a website with celebrity knock-off dresses and such. Here is one pictured in a tangerine color, but it also comes in Ivory. It's similar to yours, but, of course, not exactly the same....but it's lots cheaper!

I agree with the others that have posted. If you can't find one in a store, or knock off website, try getting one custom made.
Good luck in your search!

Im not sure where you are in the world , Im in los angeles ca, and there are seamstresses downtown that will duplicate any dress you have a picture of for far less than f 500.00 . Maybe in your town there is a place that does the same, check on that first. Its a beautiful dress by the way.

What a beautiful dress!!! Couple of ideas print out the picture and take it to every bridal shoppe you can find and see if they have one that is similiar. Another idea is if you know someone who can sew really well...take the picture to them! Maybe they can give the sewing as your wedding present and then all you have to buy is the material!!! $500 can easily buy that material!
