It depends on the dictionary. Among the longest words I know about are
Antidisestablishmentarianism (28 letters) although, in theory, you could have a prefix non-
Nonantidisestablishmentarianism (31 letters) and could also use either adjectivally:
Antidisestablishmentarianistically (34 letters) or even
Nonantidisestablishmentarianistically (37 letters)
In dictionaries containing technical terms you would find:
Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis (45 letters), which sounds like a pretty nasty illness to me
There are longer place names but these are not found in dictionaries, although, for the record, the longest place name is:
Krungthepmahanakornamornratanakosinmahintarayutthayamahadilokphopnopparatrajathaniburiromudomrajaniwesmahasatharnamornphimarnavatarnsathitsakkattiyavisanukamprasit (163 letters) in Thailand
Second place goes to:
Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu (85 letters) which is the Maori name for a hill near Hawkes Bay, New Zealand
The longest place name in the British Isles and third in the table of longest place names is the quite famous:
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (58 letters)
