Whenever you think she's ready. My son had a cotbed so when he was one we just removed the sides and lowered the base. He kept getting his arms and legs stuck out of the sides so we thought he'd be more comfortable.
He is 2 years 5 months now and has just upgraded to a single size cabin bed (not the high one just a midi sleeper).
I wouldn't bother spending money on a toddler bed as they outdrow them so quickly, if you think she's ready just get her a regular single bed and use a bed guard if you think she might roll out. My son only rolled out once and he learnt not to do it again!

I have had friends that moved their children into a toddler bed at 14 months, and some that keep their kids in a crib until they're four! It's really dependent on the individual child. If you think your child is ready, try it out! They're pretty small so easily stored if you figure out they're not ready yet. I would keep both the crib and the toddler bed out, and maybe even let your child choose which they'd like to sleep in. Hope that helps!

There's really no "specific" age... It's kind of like potty training. You can introduce the idea, but your daughter will only do it when she's ready. I'm going through this dilemma right now trying to figure out if my daughter is ready or not. My stepson was sleeping in a toddler bed when he was 1 1/2 yrs old. My daughter is 22 months and she won't fall asleep for me if she's not in her crib. it's a comfort thing for kids.

It all depends on the child. My first was in a bed at 2 1/2 because she just got too big for her got. My second child will probably end up in a bed at about the same age. Though, we may have trouble keeping her in there, she's a bit more of a handful than her sister was!

american academy of pediatrics says 3 however i think a kid should be moved to a toddler bed when they can climb from a crib
my daughter was 18 mos when we moved her

it's actually a lot more dangerous to climb from a crib than to fall from a toddler bed

There is no set age she "should" be.
You will know when she is ready - our daughter was put into a normal childs' bed as soon as she started getting out of her cot and sleeping on the floor - she was around 18-20 months.
She has now just got another new bed.
So it is individual to the child.

when toddlers start climbing out of their cribs it becomes a safety issue, they need to be put into a toddler bed at that time

when you feel toddler is ready to come out of cot my child came out of cot at 2 now she is three and in a proper single bed with a removeable side which you can buy in argos for £20.00(the side). if your child is a good size i would put them in a single bed rather than toddler bed as it can work out very expensive
