I suggest trying some alternative deodorants - there are the ones that look like crystal rocks that are supposed to be really good. If I were you, I'd also try going to the dermatologist as there may be some other alternatives to deodorant that will work for you.

Do try using a body scrub/wash every few days to help get all of the deodorant residue off of you and try applying some benadryl cream in the evening before bed to help the rashes go away faster.

Kiss My Face deoderant works better than any other I have ever used. It is a natural crystal suspension and is applied as a roll-on.

After I started using it, I noticed I could go all day without any smell...even after a stressful day.

You can get it at Whole Foods Market.

Note: Do not use antiperspirants...they are not good for your pores and can cause blockages that result in pimples and other problems under the arms.

I bet you are using an antiperspirant???

Many people are allergic to the several various ingredients in antiperspirants....including me.

I suggest you try a simple plain deodorant. Since deodorants will not keep you dry. Trying using an after bath powder or baby powder on your underarms, too. (Old Spice makes several scents of deodorants that have no harsh chemicals and are really good at controlling odor.)

There are also hypo-allergenic deodorants on the market. My Yahoo Search is acting up... I'll try to get back to you with any I have tried with good results.

Thankfully google is working ... When your underarm area is completely cleared up ... no rash... swelling or itch try
Almay Clear Deodorant Anti-Perspirant for "must be dry" days/times. Almay products are hypoallergenic.

I have had the same problem and I know people who have had that problem. I used to work at Crabtree & Evelyn and there is a Swiss Skincare Antiperspirant that really works. It is $10. Customers come in and buy 5 or more at a time because it sells out so fast. Men even use it. It is a special skin care line for people with sensitive skin. Check out the website or go to a Crabtree & Evelyn store. crabtree-evelyn.com

Deodorants won't keep you dry. Deodorants only cover your natural body odors. If you want to stay dry, you need to use Antiperspirants. Check the label on the product. Pick one that says antiperspirant and deodorant. That will keep you dry and smell good. As far as your allergy goes. Go see a doctor. The doctor should be able to do some quick tests, that will determine what you are allergic to in these products.
Good luck.

I used to have the same problem. Now I use Mitchum Unperfumed Roll on & it does the trick. It's available from a nationwide chain of chemists and some supermarkets. Don't use anything until redness has gone.

Sometimes you will find, in the deodorant section, the "natural" anti-perspirant/deodorant. Also, check with an herbalist. You can call a local accupuncturist for a recommendation for a reputable one. Many people break out when they use the anti-perspirant/deodorant combo, but not the deodorant alone. There's one, I can't remember the name of it, it looks like a crystal. Also, ask a pharmasist. Good luck.

Perhaps you have an allergy to something in deodorants. You should schedule an appointment with a dermatologist and see what they say. Maybe you need a special deodorant
