Okay..the other day I went to my bank to pay for my mortgage. The New supervisor there was very friendly to me and I didn't think anything of it. Anyway..the other night I came home and my boyfriend was like listen to this message..he played it and it said," Hi it's me ******, from the bank..I just wanted to call you and let you know that I liked talking to you the other day when you came to the bank, my phone number is ***-*****, give me a call and maybe we'll go out to lunch or something." I did not give my phone number to the guy (I think he got it off my account) and my boyfriend says he's gonna confront the guy..what should I do?? I told him not to and he's like, are you hiding something. Should I call the guy and explain what happened?? Any advice??? THANKS!!

Actually I would go to the bank manager and report the man.And I would encourage my boyfriend to go with me.Its one thing to be in a job position that gives you access to people's personal information and its another to take advantage of that information.Chances are you aren't the only woman he's done this to.But you could be the first one to actually do something about it.Report him to his boss and keep that message as evidence because you never know you may need it...Having your man with you helps keep any suspicions off you because you did NOTHING wrong and his support would be emotionally beneficial. But he is also a witness to the phone call...

The bank guy went way over the line in getting your phone number from your account. that is basically an invasion of your privacy.
He should have asked you for it and he should not have been so bold as to leave a message on your machine. what a jerk.
Confront him directly and take your boyfriend with you if he does not believe you or trust you to handle this. Then report the guy to his supervisor.
This was very wrong!

confrontation yes, but NOT with the guy. i would take the recorded message to the bank, talk to a supervisor, tell them what occured and let them listen...what this guy did was wrong in oh so many ways. any employee that gets information from your personal files, to call or whatever, and NOT a business matter, is not tolerated by most businesses, especially a financial institution.

good luck

I'd find his boss and let him listen to the message. I'd also tell them you did not give out your number. What that guy did is a clear violation of your privacy. As for the boy friend. Ask him if sitting in a 10x10 cell for asault and battery will solve anything. Also, that he suspects your hiding something isn't a good sign.

You and your boyfriend should go talk to his supervisor. That was WAY out of line. Bring the tape with you to prove it.

No don't call the bank guy , call his boss if you want to do something about this..It was very unprofessional of him to call you and your probably not the only one he has called...

What that guy did was illegal and if your boy needs you to do it to give him peace of mind, call the guy and tell him it was innappropriate to pull your info and that you are involved and not interested. if he pulls any crap report him. p.s. watch your account closely.

If your boyfriend doesnt trust you then he's not worth being with.

Tell him that.

Just ignore him, pay your mortgage by mail. Not worth it.
