Just because he hasn't come back yet doesn't mean he's broken his promise. It doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that Jesus will return on a certain day at a certain time in a specific year, does it? Nope, His time is His own and he says NO ONE knows when Christ will return. Besides, what promise has God ever made that he HASN'T kept? Keep looking east my friend, He'll come back one day whether you're ready or not

He will. Why, did you think He was supposed to come back in the year 2000? Psyche!
The Bible tells us what conditions in the world will be like just before Christ returns, and these are all being fulfilled as we speak. His return is imminent.
Nebuchadnezzar's dream that was interpreted by Daniel showed a massive statue that was made of several metals. Each metal represented a ruling world kingdom. Nebuchadnezzar's kingdom of Babylon was the head and shoulders of gold. This was followed by the silver chest and arms, the kingdom of Medo-Persia. This was in turn followed by the kingdom of Greece, which was represented by the belly and thighs of brass. After this was the kingdom of the iron legs, which represented Rome. The feet were made partly of iron and partly of clay (part strong and part weak.) This represented the Roman Empire after it was broken up, and the 10 toes represented the 10 sections of early Europe. We are currently living in the tips of the toes. It is at this time that a great rock "cut without hands" smashes the statue on its toes and destroys the whole statue. This is Christ's return.

Because it's not real. (Hey, it IS possible that it's not real). The dead have not been actually proven to return to earth. Any stories claiming differently have no hard facts. Any claims of the dead returning to earth can be disputed as there is no factual evidence supporting such claims. But I'll tell ya what - if you see god when you die, go ahead and ask....

PS - I agree with that dude's comment about the Christians scaring Jesus off! lol.. Also the comment about wishing God had a daughter. lol

The Bible says he will return when every nation on earth has heard about Jesus. And at this time there are still places in the world where the Bible has never been.

He didn't drink his coffee yet... He's being lazy.

I don't know. I often wonder that myself. His followers thought that the messianic kingdom would come in there lifetime. They believe that because that is what Jesus said. They did have a bad habit of misunderstanding the guy and I can see why. He was confusing with that sort of thing at times.

If we did misunderstand I would like some understanding.

Until some epiphany occurs for me I'll accept that it will happen one day. If that day never comes then I guess I was wrong.

-- you people are quick with your thumbs down but there are no real answers to this question. Only God himself knows and beyond that you are guessing as much as I am.

It's not time yet for him to return. ONLY God knows the time, and the day of Christ's return.

Because all of the souls which are going to be gathered into the Kingdom of Heaven are not in existence yet. And He is still patient with His creatures - even though many of them despise or ignore Him.

It's not time for him to come back yet. Besides, time passes diferently here. However long it's been for us, it hasn't been as long for him.
