all the websites i have seen says between $1200-$2500.

why do you want a serval to begin with? They don't make good lap cats, and if you want a savannah, they already have them at pet and show quality, no need to breed your own ...

Servals make very poor companions as pets.... strickly because they are not pets, but wild animals. If you find one that's cheaper in price I would be seriously hesitant to trust the person you are buying it from. You need proper facilities and serious cat-proofing to house a Serval. I have an F2 Savannah cat which means his grandfather is a Serval, and even though he's 2 generations from wild....he can still be a huge handful. I recommend you speak to NUMEROUS people/breeders that actually live with and own servals before making any dire mistakes.

You can't. The going rate is over $1,000 and if money is a problem then you sure won't be able to handle the feeding or the vet bills on the cat. Provided you can find a vet who takes exotics at all.
