For all voters ; Libs & Cons : Keep the list of what Congressmen voted for & who sponsored the pro-amnesty bills. The pro-amnesty crowd in Congress will flip like a pancake when the ILLEGAL AMNESTY question comes up during their "campaign speeches" , so just wait til` election day , and vote according . Those who flipped , shall flop !!

Since it's not dead yet, at least one more time!
We DESPERATELY need an anti-amnesty President. Hillary and all the Democrats would be a disaster. While I think McCain is an honorable man, he's on the wrong side of this issue. So are Rudy & Huckabee.
Vote the pro-amnesty jerks out or office (AKA fire them from the job we hired them to do).

Naive much? You really think those politicians care about our opinion? We the people aren't defeating anything. The amnesty bill gets attention to keep our eyes of the real issues, ie, Iraq war, skyrocketing deficeit (sp?) Duyba being drunk all the time, the constant defeat of universal healthcare, the widening gap between the rich and poor, and everybody's favorite, the recession. But you aren't paying attention to these things, because oh-my-god they MIGHT (not) let the illegals stay. Which they're gonna do anyway, so it doesn't really matter does it???
oh and flaming_ are you white? any portion thereof? If you are, remember your country doesn't care about you. Even 25% white can't get anything, I know, one quarter Irish makes me completely white in Uncle Sam's eyes, and I couldn't qualify for anything. No student grants, no welfare no anything. I'm 25% mexican (and look it if you don't look close at my eyes, Irish blue), I have to put down Hispanic on forms to get anything now. You gotta be non-white to get anything in this country, not just illegal.
Or a part of th 5% that owns everything.

The politicians are so far removed from reality that they don't know what the hell they're talking about half the time.....
The liberals want to do it to "help" the poor and needy as all liberals seem to think we as Americans need to feel as GULITY as possible for any success and wealth we attain in life.
The conservatives want to do it because this serves their TWO key constituency groups......
The first is the large companies that want / need a cheap labor base to do the blue collar work of this country. This keeps costs down and profits up.
The second is rebuplicans LOVE Mexicans because they are predominately Catholics and thus tend to vote along the Pro-Life / Conservative Christian lines that is the BASE of the republican party.
Both parties are already getting the taxes from the middle class (they have us by the ballz). Most middle class poeple have already decided which politcal affiliation we belong to (Repub or Dem), so no need to pander to us. They only go after the group they want to "help" to garner more votes from the undecided.
Couple this with the fact that those of us (the middle and upper middle class) tend to be disinfranchised and only turn out at the poles at a sick 25 to 30% voter turnout...... why the HELL should the politicians listen? We aren't screaming to make our voices heard with turnout like that.

Ok, I'll bite. I don't exactly espouse the plight of illegal immigrants...but....to devote valuable intellectual time to them seems to suggest a passion, an obsession... I'm a lawyer and I see them mistreated daily... and it's unfair (a lot of them deserve it)... Some of them I do help - as, not surprisingly, sometimes some of them exhibit worthy American ideals (such as good parenting).)...
This issue seems similar to 911 - yes tragic - but in the public eye more b/c it is a "clear" and visible plight...UNlike the newly rejuvinated Cold War which is staged quietly - although it clearly carries greater implications (such as WW3)..
No Amesty, Yes Amensty, maybe... Maybe I don't care.. Maybe my daughter won't benefit one way or another... One thing for sure - if I act on emotion I would also want to kick them ALL in the behind.
But I try not to act when emotional...

This fits the definition of insanity...doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.
I liked Tancredo calling for them to arrest the illegal immigrants in the Congressional quarters during the vote.

The worst is they keep trying to sneak it through while our attention is elsewhere like the fires in CA. This needs to end soon and it better teach the Republicans that the citizens don't want the bill and that they need to run this as a campaign issue against the dems to take back control of Congress. Protection of our borders and the deportation of illegal immigrants found while denying the amnesty movement is key.

As many times as it takes to get it off of the docket! How in the heck can Hillary say she is disappointed in the Dream Act not passng? Pay attention to Washington D.C. and vote accordingly. Time for middle class Americans to speak up, we pay for everyone in this nation, including the rich. No Amnesty for any illegal!
