CJ, as usual, you really don't have a clue.

heiscoming: Wow! I never realized that Christ was such an "anything goes" kinda guy! Wonder why He said: "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."?

Yes, since support for Sunday worship cannot be found as a doctrine of Jesus, the Apostles or the Bible.

Christ is not an 'anything goes' kind of guy, as you put it. Christ is the Sabbath rest. We rest in His act of mercy toward us by His sacrifice. We remember this by keeping a Sabbath day holy while we remain trapped in this dimension of time.

The mistake made by most is that there is a concrete set day that we must keep the Sabbath, when in fact, as long as we keep it on one in seven days, it does not matter which day it is.

Colossians 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

The shadow of things to come is past, and the light has shown upon the fact that Christ is the fulfillment of the Sabbath rest. This, however, does not mean we are not to keep a Sabbath day in remembrance that we still await His second return, not in mercy, but in wrath against His enemies.

The mistake made by the papacy, and by her daughters, the protestants and every other denomination in between, is that they are like the pharisees. In their quest to have dominion over the followers of Christ, they set rules which are outside of the biblical authority. These rules are they from which Christ set us free.

So, are there rules? Yes. But my conscience, self examination, and prayer is the guide....Not Rome.

No. Some Protestants worship God, not Jesus. Some think Jesus is God. Others think that only the Spirit in Jesus is God. Some Protestants worship on Saturdays. The Sunday schedule simply became a tradition that affected all other activities. As it is, now, many companies would hate to see their employees scrambling for prime-time days-off just to go to church on a Monday, or a Tuesday, if you get my drift.

No. They acknowledge the Word of God. So if a man believes it is alright to worship Saturday or Sunday, as long as he is in Christ he does not do wrong. If a man worships every day of the week in Christ, he does not do wrong.

Colossians 2:14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths,

Romans 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks

Because the other churches protested against the Catholic church , does not mean that they would have to drop every single belief of the Catholics .
The Lutherans and the Methodists are very close to being Catholic .
They're all still Christian , why shouldn't they have similarities ?

Not for me! I am Christian and I worship Christ everyday, not just on one day of the week. I have no affiliation to the RCC and do not acknowledge it in any way.

No. Romanism wasn't an institution until at least the 3rd century. We have evidence in Acts that soon after Christ's death Christians began to worship God on the first day of the week.

Just because i use the calendar i.e. wednesday thursday friday...

Doesn't make me a pagan. Those days are named after Norse gods.

Adopting a holy day or tradition doesn't make you that religion, it just shows compromise.

Edit: I am extremely curious why i got a thumbs down.
My argument is sound. Christians don't want to believe arguments like that because it shows they aren't pure and true christians. It shows that there is pagan mixed in and they aren't pure. thats all.

Nope, I worship Him every day and Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

Yes - or to put it another way, the authority of the Apostles, the first bishops of the Catholic Church, who designated Sunday as the Christian day of worship.
