I mean, if Jesus didn't even exist, how can I continue to be a Christian?

Which religion should I choose, now that I can no longer attribute the blessings in my life to Jesus?

I guess it was all in my head after all?

Read Islam(The Holy Quran)

You will surely come to know that what is truth.

If Christianity can't help you to prove that Jesus existed
Islam will help you.

Holy Quran too speeks about Jesus but speaks the truth that who was he.

--WHY WOULD you except any of the lies of people who have no regard for actual history?
--WOULD you except the information on that smut page and not accept historians of some worth? Please note:

*** gt The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived ***

The historian H. G. Wells said that a man’s greatness can be measured by ‘what he leaves to grow, and whether he started others to think along fresh lines with a vigor that persisted after him.’ Wells, although not claiming to be a Christian, acknowledged: “By this test Jesus stands first."

--THE respected historian Will Durant argued: “That a few simple men should in one generation have invented so powerful and appealing a personality, so lofty an ethic and so inspiring a vision of human brotherhood, would be a miracle far more incredible than any recorded in the Gospels.”

--The Historians’ History of the World observed: “The historical result of [Jesus’] activities was more momentous, even from a strictly secular standpoint, than the deeds of any other character of history. A new era, recognised by the chief civilisations of the world, dates from his birth.”

--“Yes, think about it. Even calendars today are based on the year that Jesus was thought to have been born. Dates before that year are listed as B.C., or before Christ,” explains The World Book Encyclopedia. “Dates after that year are listed as A.D., or anno Domini (in the year of our Lord).”

--The New Encyclopædia Britannica thus concludes: “These independent accounts prove that in ancient times even the opponents of Christianity never doubted the historicity of Jesus, which was disputed for the first time and on inadequate grounds at the end of the 18th, during the 19th, and at the beginning of the 20th centuries.”

--IF YOU HAD truths about Christ in your head and trusted them with good reasoning , why would you be influenced by such an absurd presentation you provided as a link!
--IF YOU do not want to believe in him ,just dismiss the idea of him, but it seems by your presentation that you are trying to convince yourself(with false information) that he did not exist!

--THE CHRIST of the Bible is far different from the Christ that the murderer & founder of Christendom(church system) Constantine presented in false light beginning about 300 A.D.
--THE ARTICLE BELOW "How Can Jesus Change Your life?"
might help you in focusing in on what his purpose was for being born a man as the Son of God , not God:

You could only prove definitely from Roman and Greek ancient texts, the existence of a few elevated citizens. To get the proof you want you'd need a tardis or Wellsian time-machine perhaps, but unfortunately that is just fantasy. There is the gospels and epistles to go on, also the reality of the early church. Absence of significant evidence in Roman texts of the time is not evidence of absence. I'm sure they ate food of various sorts back then, but you can't prove exactly what they ate - that doesn't mean they didn't eat the things they did eat.

Well, I'm not a Christian and I don't believe in anything remotely Christian, but I don't think you should renounce your faith because of some website. Keep in mind that there are lots of people who say the Holocaust never happened, but we all know that it did. Just because something is on the internet, doesn't make it fact.

If, in fact, you're trying to be clever and you're not a Christian, you just want to disturb those that are, you should probably focus on your own life and stop trying to tell other people how to live theirs. I apologize if this isn't the case, I just find it rare that a devoted Christian would let one website destroy their faith.

I believe Jesus has really existed. The problem is, there have been many distortions regarding his real life. He was told to be a God and he's one of the three personages of God also known as the Holy Trinity. You see, people have always thought that the oldest and perhaps the most widespread religion is Catholicism. I've been a Catholic since I was born so I believe I have the right to critically analyze their teachings. Do you really believe that there's such thing as three personages of God but they are still ONE? Isn't it ironical? Would you believe that Jesus is really a God even the bible says a description of a God is that it has no flesh nor bones? How could it be possible then that there have been various pictures of God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit if in the first place, the description of a God in the bible suggests that a God has no flesh nor bones? If they are really gods, why do they have a body? Another argument that i would like to argue is that why are people so obsessed in worshiping inanimate statues, pictures, and the like if in the first place Jesus taught that idolatry is a sin? Ask yourself whether doing such is idolatry or not. Perhaps you have already encountered the critique on Jesus as a God or whatever related to it. They say Dec. 25 isn't really Jesus' birthday and all attributes given to Jesus have been based on Pagan beliefs and etc. There's no date in the bible indicating His exact birth and even His death. I do not know how the Catholic Church has arrived to such dates. Another thing, Jesus as a God is not his real nature. It has been considered in early councils such as the Council of Constantinople and Nicaea regarding Jesus' real nature - a God or a Person. The council has voted for it and guess what, they have decided to attribute Jesus as a God even it's not in the bible. Hence, Jesus being a God is socially constructed.

Perhaps I have raised your eyebrows or whatever, but it is just my opinion regarding the matter. I do not hold your decisions and even your principles, values, and even your faith. But I believe that one should critically analyze one's faith and one's religion for the better. People are afraid of change. I know because I've been through such situations many times, but this is what I tell you.

There's no wrong if you critically analyze your own faith and religion. If you think doing such is a sin, YOU'RE WRONG. There's nothing wrong with thinking critically. Remember, not all traditions are right and worthy. And if you prefer to be just a passive person being socialized in this world by various institutions, GOOD LUCK. There are many things in this world that are needed to be scrutinized. There's nothing wrong with thinking critically. Our brains are gifts from God (the only God) and there's nothing wrong if we use such blessings.

I believe that there's still a God even though I have heard so many critiques against His existence. It is so because I have used critical thinking in finding answers to my questions.

For the one who has posted this question, don't be confused. Lay your faith not only to Jesus Christ but also to God who has created us all. Remember, they're different and they're not ONE. Is there a problem if we admit that they're not one? I think there isn't. Jesus will still be Jesus, and God will always be God. I suggest you should research more regarding the matter. Search for the film ZEITGEIST. It would somehow explain to you how people have arrived of Jesus being a God. But do not just end there. Examine your own religion and perhaps from there, search for the truth. Good luck and may God bless you. (^_-)

At first, I laughed and said, "Ha! Just another weak attempt to fool Christians!"

But I began to look closer at some of the information and I double-checked it. Man! I think this site may be on to something!

I mean, I've heard the arguments all before, but this stuff is verifiable and makes sense - JESUS!

It really doesn't look good. I'm going to have to look into this a little more.

You're right! What will we Christians do, if this really pans out?

I got a lot of thinking and praying to do.

I'm not a Christian but I do believe that Jesus lived. Even Buddhist texts record his existence, or a man that is widely thought by Buddhist scholars to be Jesus.

Remember last year when they said the tombs and resting places of Jesus, Mary Magdalene and their child were supposedly found? Atheists and people wanting to prove there was no resurrection were falling all over themselves. It didnt pan out. Now they say he never existed. Which is it? You cant have it both ways.
These sites convince the weak mind, not the steadfast believers.

Rest assured that there is more than enough historical evidence that Jesus did in fact exist. Sites like this are just smoke, put up by people of no importance, who don't know what they are talking about. Ignore it.

Don't believe the baloney that you read online. Satan has millions of followers out there who lie to you and want to dissuade you from your knowledge of Christ. People like that have been around for the last 2,000 years. Pay them no mind, and read the accounts of the eyewitnesses who saw and interacted with Jesus Himself - in the Gospels.

Excuse me, I'm pretty new here. But wouldn't this be called trolling? Asking a question just to get a reaction from others by saying something that you don't really mean?

Not nice!
