Thanks.

If you don't even know that then you really shouldn't be playing with such batteries.
Al kinds of accidents can happen there.
Like if you accidentially touch both poles of the battery with a metal object e.g. a wrench, it will melt in your hand and that will leave permanent scars. Or worse, you loose the hand.
That's just one example of what could happen. Those things are dangerous.

BTW. You charge them with a battery charger of course. I assume it's lead acid batteries for cars. There are special battery chargers for those.

You BUY a battery charger for such an application. If you have to ask here how to do it, you are unlikely to have the engineering skills to do it yourself. There are plenty of engineering firms who will be happy to assist you.

Having said that, if you are not required to keep the batteries connected in parallel, you can make a series circuit with 240V and charge it (at C/10) from a rectified 240V/20A outlet. The rectifier/series charger will probably result in the lowest cost for the electronics.

And having said that, again, I would not advise you to try this at home. 240V will kill you, then your batteries and then burn your home down in no time if you make a mistake.

And finally... I do have the engineering skills to do something like this, but I wouldn't want to. The kind of setup you are describing makes only sense in an electric bus, a submarine or similar contraption. And the people who design those things have decades of experience with exactly that kind of problem. I would leave it to them.

do not confuse (modern) amps with skill skill (Amp hours). in case you will get that immediately we'd arise with some solutions. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that charging better than 2 batteries in parallel without fuses is amazingly volatile. If one is going short then advance, it receives vaporised. you will additionally want to do it in a properly ventilated construction because of the fact the hydrogen construct-up could desire to truly go bang too.
