Yes my former neighboor. He had bought a horse to ride around with his kids. No one had ever ridden this horse before so he had to be the first. The whole neighboorhood was out to watch him break this horse in. Everything was going good until a dog that was chained up was barking crazy at the horse trotting through. The dog broke the chain ran up to the horse and bit the horse on the leg. The horse freaked out started bucking throwing off the man riding. He tried to grab a hold of the horse & the horse kicked him in the stomach. He was taken to the hospital wear he suffered from a busted spleen.

yes, actually yesterday and last night at QH Congress there were 4 or 5 people that fell off while running poles and barrels. One poor little girl fell off on the straight away after she went through the poles w/o knocking any. She was kicking and bouncing, and the horse just ran out from underneath her! Didn't laugh then, but thinking about it now I chuckle, not intending to be mean, it is a tad bit funny though. I've had my horse turn out from underneath me, so, feel free to laugh at me also! :)

Sure, and I have even fallen off a horse a few times myself! It is a long way to the ground and I usually get the wind knocked out of me. Everyone who rides horses will get unseated at some point.

Yep, sure have, a bunch of people fall. It happens all the time at our arena. I've seen Jockeys wreck on the race trace as well.

Twice, once at Evangeline Downs, and once at a track in Florida. The guy in Louisiana broke his wrist. The guy from Florida was unhurt.

Yup, even had the dubious pleasure of seeing it first hand....meaning I have come off myself a few times....best thing is to get right back on if you can.
