Pixie, you are mistaken.....
In many states it is perfectly legal to sell and resell tickets for what ever price you want.
I work in Florida.... We used to have a No Scalping law.... You could only resell a ticket for an event for no more then $1.00 above the tickets face value.
That law was repealed and now web sites like Stub-Hub are thriving. It has really become disgusting. High end events are bought up by brokers all over the world and then posted for resale on these sites for stupid amounts of money.
For example.... the Hanna Montana show is coming to my city soon.... The tickets went on sale and were sold out in like 7 minutes..... Want a ticket now? Sure, go to one of the ticket brokers sites...or look at the daily classifieds... they are fetching $2,500 and per ticket! That should be criminal! This is a stinking children's concert!
So, now our law is basically "anyone stupid enough to pay the money can buy a ticket from anyone, anywhere in the state". Sad, really.
So, I do not know what they law for PA is..... I just wanted to clear up a misconception among rumor.
I would say that the best thing for you to do is to call the Pittsburg Police non-emergency number and they can quote the law to you in seconds. That is the best way to keep yourself out of trouble.

No it is no legal however there are so many people you can usually get away with it. Just watch for cops. Even if you are caught it is not usually a jailable offence like a fine or citation or something I have done it before and never had an issue keep moving through the crowds and don't be real loud. You will be fine. Let me know how it turns out. FYI you make a ton of money scalping.

Many times, this depends on the venue being used for the event. I saw scalpers being thrown off the property at the Silverdome a few years ago. Easier to sell or receive them online. I really think the IRS should step in and collect taxes from scalpers.

Scalping isn't legal anywhere I'm afraid, especially outside the event itself. Selling tickets for more than the ticket price is not allowed...not even selling them AT ticket price...

It is illegal to scalp tickets anywhere. I was at a Yankees game once and the guy bought two tickets and his friend was unable t show up and even though he wanted to get rid of the tickets for the same price or less that he bought them for, it was illegal. Even though the ticket agent knew he bought them not that long before trying to get rid of them!

No. It must be resold at or less than the face value of the ticket. I did that with 2 extra tickets to TMS (NASCAR) last year.
