Toast Bread Calories

When you toast bread, you are basically caramelizing the sugars, which makes it taste different, but doesn't alter the amount of calories inside of it. Think about it- if you toast bread, then subject it to heat, is there anything that would be in the bread in the beggining that would be there in the end (With the exception of some water, which would have evaporated). As for your other question, there would be close to 79 calories in a slice of plain white bread thickly sliced with the crusts eaten. Thinly sliced, crusts not eaten? 32.

A few crumbs may fall off when you take it in and out of the toaster, but a toasted and non-toasted piece of bread have the same number of calories

Surely not much less - the only thing you're really removing from the bread by toasting it is water!

Nevertheless, this site says 88kcal for bread and 84kcal for toast...

The same amount, why should it change...you are not taking anything away from it...
