I have used Frontline, Capstar, Advantage and flea shampoos, I've also used the Frontline Flea Spray. Nothing works. It just keeps getting worse. She is absolutely miserable and I am desperate for her some relief.

Are you 100% sure it's fleas?

Some of the treatments you've tried are good, some are not. Flea treatment is complicated to do correctly, and sometimes infestations can be really hard to break. It's important to observe the following points:

1) DO NOT BATH the animal before applying a topical treatment, or the topical treatment cannot work. You need to wait 48 hours after bathing.
2) Don't use flea shampoos at all, because they don't work.
3) If you use a spot-on, get it all on the fur, not the skin.
4) SPRAY YOUR HOUSE. I think this may be where you're going wrong - 95% of a flea population live in the environment, so if you don't spray you'll never be free. Use a proper treatment from a vets, not a stupid 'bomb' or fogger from a pet store.

You can't just treat your pet you also need to treat your home and even the enviornment. As long as fleas are in the enviornment they will continue to get on your pet. The products you say you have used do work and do work well, however there is no flea repellant.

If you use a topical like Frontline or Advantage make sure to part the hair between the shoulders and put the flea meds on the skin..do not rub in or wipe. If you only get the med on the hair it will not work well...it needs to be on the skin.

You also need to be treating your house and yard as well. Fleas spend alot of time in those areas, in fact most of the eggs are laid in your home and yard, your pet is just the feeding ground.

Ask your vet to recommend foggers and sprays for your house and yard that contain an Insect Growth Regulator. A product with an IGR will kill adults and their eggs. A product without and IGR will only kill adults leaving the eggs to hatch a couple weeks later, and you'll be in the same boat again.

You may also want to look into food grade DE for your pet. You can rub this into there coat and it will kill fleas. DE is all natural and available at some health food stores and online. But make sure you get the FOOD grade DE.

I've heard Dawn dishsoap. I've never done it, but have heard that it works to kill them. It won't keep them away though.
