From a Christian perspective the only true way to test if one's beliefs are correct is to match them with scripture. Revelation 2:2.
From a non-christian perspective, look at the old testament and you can see the foreshadowings and predictions to which Jesus full filled completely and facts about His Resurrection are very difficult to deny.

If ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, He will manifest the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost, and by the power of the Holy Ghost, ye may know the truth of all things.
This is the answer, direct, personal revelation from God, via the Holy Ghost, manifesting to you what is true and what is not. Go to the source, always the best place for research.

99.99999% of all the evidence in the known universe supports my position. 0.0000001% of the evidence supports all of the other beliefs about god.
Of that 0.0000001%, even the believers don't agree on which evidence is considered valid (i.e. Jews don't accept the NT, Christians don't accept the Koran, Muslims think both Christianity and Judaism are corrupted, everyone else thinks these three religions are, to put it nicely, wrong).
The odds are in my favor.

The Bible says so. As Jesus said in prayer to his Father: "Your word is truth." However, many people do not believe what they read in the Bible. To them, God burns the wicked forever in a fiery hell. That belief is not from the Bible
Others believe God is composed of 3 co-equal, co-eternal persons--a trinity. That is also not from the Bible. Jesus said that God is one person--the Father. John 17:3

John 8:31,32 When said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
1 Tim. 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
The truth cannot be twisted or this is what will happen;
2 peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest(twist), as they do the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Because it comes only from the word of God, no man made laws or teachings, no lies. No creed books. Nothing but the WORD.
Romans 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sins, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine (teaching) which was deliverd you.
Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethern, mark them which cause division and offence contray to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. (1Cor 1:10)
Eph. 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.
1Tim. 1:9-11 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteousness man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers, for man slayers, for whremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contray (opposed) to sound dostrine; according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
1 Tim. 4:16Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

There is an absolute truth. God's word claims "thy word is truth."
I can't claim my belief (born-again Christian) is the only correct one, but I do know that many faiths have statements that contradict other faiths.
In the end, you must conclude that either one faith is correct, or all faiths are wrong. Read the Bible, and check it out.

For me, Ravi Zacharius put it best - it answers the questions of Origin, Meaning, Morality, and Destiny better than any other world view.
Mind you I said "for me"

No evidence and until there is, no gods. This is the correct stance on any unsubstantiated claim.
