Don't remember the age, but I remember growing up as little boy and attending Sunday School every Sunday and other times during the week my parentswould go to Church. When I was in 7th grade, I got off track and rebeled against God and throughout my life. In the past few years, I have gotten back on track and read and watch religion on TV especially one's that are on prophesy and how prophesy written in the Bible over 2000 yrs ago is all falling into place at this very time..Almost 1/3 of the Bible is about prophesy. Thousands of prophesies were predicted back then and over half of them have become reality. Now they are happening at a faster pace,,, storms, hurricanes, famines, fires, flu and other diseases becoming more rampant and many other pestilences that are predicted for the last days... We are in the last days... The Bible says "for your redemption draws high" ....... be ready

Well I'm a cradle Roman Catholic so I was surrounded by the belief in God and just went along with it. The moment I really asked myself is there really a God was three years ago when my beloved twin died suddenly aged 44yrs.

That really tested me - After alot of soul searching (believe me it took sometime) I now know for definite God exists - he literally got me through my pain. So I think you will find alot of people have had a life changing experience to understand the nature of God.

Never once was I angry at God I just couldn't understand why he had taken my twin - now I do and I am at peace.

best wishes

I always believed God exists. I just didn't know His Words (or better saying I did not pay attention to The Bible).
He has touched me with His Holy Spirit in my heart!
But looking back (and ahead) I have never thought or I would never ever think of living my life without Jesus, God and The Holy Spirit. I just didn't know how to do it and I thought I didn't have to do something...!
I was touched almost 4 years ago and now I understand that I really didn't know anything about God and His Promises. I was not saved although I believed and I wanted Him! I had never confessed Jesus or asked for His forgiveness to my sins... I never new the Real Value Of His Sacred Blood or what He had done for me (and in my place) in that cross... God reached me and He taught me how to understand Him, His Wishes, His Commandments and His Promises.
I am not enough to support myself in any situation, it doesn't matter which and Jesus Has The Glory in my life, ever.
I certainly have problems and the Bible assures me that everybody has and / or will have them but now I know I am not alone to pass through them. Jesus Is and He Will always Be everything in my life, which is His!

When both of my parents told me there wasn't a God. I was about 6 years old. I remember a feeling that came over me that felt like they were wrong. I've believed in God since then. I'm 41 now and from that moment on my faith grew. Take care.

When within a month the things I cared about, that I valued, weren't the same.
At the beginning of the month I really wanted to go to this rock concert, during that month the Holy Spirit entered my life, and I thought about that concert at the end of the month and other things like it and I really didn't care about going. Sounds silly perhaps, but so many things changed. I felt like what mattered to me was what mattered to God.
I had a peace and an assurance in my heart and it was wonderful beacuse with a great uplifted heart I knew that God was real and loving, and that I was his and he was mine. The world has nothing like that.
18 years later - he has never failed me - and I am glad to have had life in him and the knowledge that I will have eternal life with him.

I don't remember exactly when I first believed in God - it was some time after college, and then about 20 years later I became Christian.
As far as why - I could write a book.

When I hit the floor, literally, so hopeless in my life, and all I stood for. (hard-core drugs, sex, trying to prove to whomever that I was the toughest thing since stale jerky and kicking the crap out of everyone who didn't think so) so depressed I could not stand. I cries out to Jesus, and He answered loud and clear with an overwhelming peace like I had never known before.

I don't ever remember a time when I did not believe in God, though I went through a time in college when I struggled with what he was all about.

I always knew he was there. As a child I could feel his presence. I just knew.
I fell away for years. Then at age 35 he answered a prayer I had prayed when I was a child. It was about being an adult! I was blown away and got my sorry butt back to church!

Don't remember, was too young. Always believed. Perhaps this is a common experience and your question does not apply to those who have believed from a young age.
