Recently, it seem to be going the other way. Some real jerky people claiming to be atheists (which is easy to do) have been posing such questions at Christians.

I am not sure as to the "incorrect" questions you refer to... but, the reason mentioning the label "atheist" causes an agitated response is that the label is an abstract term covering a void of understanding.

That is, the term "Atheist" is like that of Esoteric, MIND, etc. All these "abstract" terms refer to phenomena that cannot be manifested on the physical plane because they exist on subtle planes simultaneously existing within us, but not discernible via ones brain and physical senses.

A little known fact is that most people have a subtle fear of the "Unknown" within themselves. This "Unknown" consists of the MIND and Spiritual realms that exist within Man, but are not capable of being perceived by ones brain or physical senses.

Individuals who claim to be an Atheist do so as a means of giving a name to that which they fear, but experience as a very subtle anxiety. In other words, by focusing on the label "Atheist" such people can somewhat reduce their anxiety regarding the "Unknown". In this sense, the overly anxious among us develop many abstract names that help them "explain" what they fear.

Again, the terms Esoteric, MIND, Ego, this or that religion, Atheist, depression, schizophrenia, insomnia, and a host of other terms that refer to phenomena that we experience but cannot actually understand as to cause or operational dynamics. By intensely focusing on the "names" we fool ourselves into thinking that we "know" what the names mean, and this provides us a delusional sense that we are in "control" of what we name.

When someone points to a "name" we use as a mask for what we do not actually understand, we get panicky and this is subtly converted into anger which is then projected at the person so insensitive as to point to the name we use to mask what we "unknowingly" fear. Atheist is such a name.

It does the same to Christians too. I'm not Atheist, but I do know that some of you Christian people post questions for the sole purpose of offending/hurting others. Now how Christian is that? Did your preacher tell you to do that? Do you get brownie points in Heaven for that?

Well, nobody cares. We all just sit at our computers and laugh at how ignorant and childish you all are.

Did you realize that every time you attack atheists in this manner you show not just your ignorance but the shallowness and intolerance of many who profess the Christian faith?

They simply do not believe in a god - any god not just your God!!! What can you not tolerate in that.

Funny when several religions deny your God and Jesus yet you focus on atheists!!!

The real reason people calling themselves Christian rail against atheists is that their faith is so weak they feel threatened by people not so much with different beliefs but more those who have no belief in a god.

Thank goodness there are many TRUE Christians out there that do have a strong faith and believe in that loving, inclusive and forgiving God. I am sure many of them are praying for you and for God to forgive you your arrogance and to help you find humility!!!!

Incorrect, generalized questions aimed at ANYONE on ANY subject tend to piss me off. They simply show that the person asking is either unwilling or UNABLE to think critically and rationally about the subject.

Nope my back is too old to get "raised" over much of anything... I've removed a great deal of the buttons a lot of people might like to try to push.

If you are a believer in God, you should not have any curiosity as to how an atheist would react to various situations. You would be delaying their transition to theism, by trying to prove them wrong.
