That it would use the one thing that is against him... the very religion that speaks out against him. Why would he attack it directly when one of his "finer" points is deceit? No... he would use that very religion, from it's beginning and twist it to the point that the Majority would believe in the doctrines given for it... to make it easier for him to take the seat. Do you think the Majority in that religion would stand for something that is supposedly that evil that is laid out for them? For instance, the majority is Christian... many believe there will be an actual Mark they will have to take.... do you think they would willingly take the mark? Yet the Bible states they will without realizing what they are doing.
If any of it were true - which I do not believe - the "Great Delusion" would the very thing that speaks against it.

Revelation tells us that the Antichrist will force everyone to take his mark, and that without it you will not be able to buy or sell. How many of us could live like that? Rejecting the mark would essentially mean giving up civilization and becoming an outlaw.
That, I think, will prove to be a major incentive for many people to follow him.
