Yes...not as a pet or anything, but demons can influence Christians if they are obsessing over them, or blind to their existence...Fortunately, as followers and believers in the word of Christ, we have authority to deny any demon, and cast them aside...;0)

No, darkness cannot co-habit with light. Look what demons did when Jesus approached......He lives in Christians. The idea of demons living in Christians is simply ignorance of scripture or listening to too much Benny Hinn.

I would think so. I mean... wouldn't it be the same concept as Job being tested by Satan?
Or the man that was possessed all his life just to show an example that Jesus can heal?
So yeah... based on what I used to believe/follow I would think that you could have a demon no matter what religion or how strong your belief is. However the stronger it is the less likely it is.
I was Christan for 18 years of my 23 year old life and now follow a pagan religion so I'm not quite as brushed up as I used to be on Christan knowledge as I used to be however I'd think I helped you out pretty well.(hopefully)

Jesus healed people, that word 'healed' is an indicator that these people had illnesses. Some sickness was understandable, visible. Blindness, deafness and death people could relate to, but things like epilepsy scared them. They attributed them to demons and Jesus was using the language of the day that they could relate to.
Today we have more understanding of psychological illnesses.
There are no superhuman demons and devils. But there are people who earn their living by preying on the fears of others. If we are gullible we can betaken in by it.
Just remember what the Bible says - that 'God rules in the kingdoms of men.'

A Christian CANNOT be possessed by a demon. They can be OPPRESSED, but since the Holy Spirit indwells the believer they can NEVER be possessed.

Oppressed, but not possessed...Angel P is correct. Once you come to the realization that you are being hindered you can be set free by prayer. The blood of Jesus will drive them far from you.
That is the purpose of deliverance ministry. Demons can create a block in your life and you can feel it.

a true christian cannot be possessed by a demon, where it actually takes over the body....
but it can be oppressed by one......it takes prayer to keep it away.
the first thing to do is be sure the person is born again....many people are christian in name only....it is just a mental thing, but their heart is still not right with God.

Depends what you mean by Demon. Nobody is immune to the influence of Satan. Even Christ himself was subject to temptation by him. So if you mean a Being controlled by Satan the answer is clearly yes. Not being at Christs level, then we can be equally be tempted by Satan's subordinates in the same way.

I believe they cannot.
An evil spirit has to be let in, like a house guest; just as God's spirit must be invited in; neither can force their way in. A Christian is someone who has God's spirit in them. Someone lead by God's spirit would not invite a demon into their life.

I have the demon of gas right now. Plagues me it does with its foul and hellacious winds of sulphur and firey brimstone!
Woe to the people who must inhale the noxious fumes of legion's fury!
*real answer*
Demons were earth spirits. I think if a person wanted them around they could, even christians. who knows, I never personally experienced anything like that.
