I must have seen this question at least 4 times tonight and 100s of time since I joined.
Reguardless of your religious/spritual beliefs this forum must be opened to all .
Atheists have a view to share on the subject.
Are people who ask this question afraid of what people with other beliefs might say , or are they trying to close down free speach ?

people are seeking an absolute truth. ever since the beggening of time.
I respect all peoples beliefs, but ask your self this question. out of all these beliefs there is a path way to a betterplace, but we only came from one place. the question is do we go back to the same place. That is in the mind of God the creater of the Heavens and Earth. Because of mankind's evil God set a standered of living. Know if there wasn't any God we would have destroyed the world already. That is why paople ask many question about, what is the truth? Deep down inside of us we continues to search for the truth.it is found in the blue print of life that is the bible. that is were we control mankind from kiling one another. But you can see we don't really rely on it any more that is why government is corrupt and people has shead blood for no reason. That is the best way how i can explaine it. Iam a christian not atheist. So as an athiest I couldn'nt give you an explaination

It"s usually asked by Christians when someone has hit the nail on the head with one of their questions, and said something to make them think and question their belief.

Just seems like a waste of time to discuss something you don't think exist.

And if you are so much for free speech, shouldn't this question be allowed also?
