At the gym today in the showers, a european student asked me and someone else if it was alright if he were to get an erection to clean himself better. The other guy seemed fine with this, so I had to. Is this weird? Does anyone else do this? Am I just too conservative?

Why would he have to thoroughly clean his dork at the gym. Gym showers are for sweat/stink removal not friggin personal hygiene time. The fact that he asked if you would mind shows that it is not just some common European practice to pop a rod in the gym shower for easy cleaning. This dude has some social problems.

Splashing out and how manly it is to take the all-round indulgence of showers! Certainly most would have strong feelings on the subject! By the way according to social etiquette, you can embark on any activity with the consent of those next to you and as long as nobody exchanges addresses!! Another shower de resistance sort of guide is,dont stay in long enough that fingers and other parts get all wrinky!

Showering after working out does not require an erection for throrough cleaning. If one is that concerned, a proper cleaning can be perfomed in private.

Uh... if someone asked me that I would tell them whatever they do in the shower is non of my concern and walk away from them. Definitely uncomfortable. Is this person gay?

Absolutely NOT, I would have said NO in the strongest possible terms. If the individual had continued, I would have reported him to the manager. There is no reason for this.
