I agree with sufi, i realise us lads dont always have the confidence straight away, no matter how much we like the girl, because we dont always no if they really do feel the exact same way, we cant read minds, girls may go on about broken hearts a lot, it makes guys feel torn inside when they ask someone out they're really into and they say no!, thats why they might not go ahead and do it with no hesitation because they dont want that feeling, (most likely experienced it before) or the secondary reason could be that they like someone else, thats something thats worth figuring out!

If he really likes you, then he would ask.
Take your time and give him time to realize what he is missing out on. But don't give him forever to decide.
You can always just go and talk to him. Find out what he feels, maybe he does need more time or maybe he really just in not in to you. In that case, you gave him a chance and he blew it. Move on.
Until then, just be patient.

Even though a guy likes you he might be a little shy. I had a friend who had the same delima. I told her to just ask him out and now they are married.

How would going out with you be different than it is right now? If you're giving him everything he right now that you'd give him if you're in a relationship, there's no reason for him to ask you out.

not every guy wants a girlfriend! Plus he may see you more a flirting material rather that girl friend. Plus maybe he doesn't like you and he just says he does!

He's not ready to ask you out. Maybe he's afraid of rejection, maybe he doesn't have date money. If you can't wait any longer, just ask him out.

my guess is that he is shy. this happened to me. if you ask him out, do it fast i didn't and the girl i liked got asked out by someone else(i got her back). i take it you like him. so to answer the qwestion, he's just shy.
