Probably because they have not known anything different.Wars etc have been going in for all of the past generations.Yes it is scary and sad as you would think by now that a world peace would have been achieved.

My parent's went to HS in the 1940's, which would make WW2's time, the "good old days" for them.......so you're kind of tAking things out of perspective. Personal "good times" versus economic or wartime "good times" are related of course but to young people, the good times refer to school, freinds and fun, NOT world events.

i look at my young years the late 60 70 as the good old days and things was happening them that is happening now its just that technology bring it into our lives at light speed and i sure my parants wonder why those was my good old days don't be afriad be happy when you wittness them call it the good old days and the storys thay tell u i sure u would be able to identify in your own way happy paranting

Yes!! These days are not particularly "good"....but,I guess things were crazy in the 70's @80's as well...we were just oblivious to it all being young.
