With the success of the Pats and now the Red Sox (about to win their 2nd WS since 2004) not to mention the great team the Celtics are putting together, who is doing a better job? I'm not sure how the Bruins are doing as I'm not much of a hockey fan but take a look at Boston College (8-0) with its number 2 ranking. What city can compare to Boston at this very moment

I understand the Yankee history but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the present. The fact that Boston (New England) is having so much success in so many different sports. I agree with several comments about being a great time to be a Boston fan. To tell you the truth I like what the Celtics have done during the off season.

Ya, we are on a streak right now, so it's all good, but we have yet to win anything, so I am not going to jinx it.

Ok, Josh, ya, great run, but you mention we have yet to win anything, by your post, all the teams you mention, did not win anything either, so what is your point?

Um, Daniel, the Patriots gave a 4th round draft pick to Oakland and paid 3 million for Moss. Schilling surely did not break the bank and we gave up 5 players and a number one pick for 2009 for Garnett...Manny was a 8 year deal with a 2 year team option and that was done with the prior ownership and I think he earned every bit of that money and compared to other salaries it is comparable. The only thing I will give you is Dice-K, which was way too much. I just think the other players did not break the bank.

Cleveland did have the Indians in it but their gone. I know they usually have a good college football team. Basketball the Cavaliers have Lebron James. I don't know about hockey.

I can't think of a better time to be a Boston sports fan. I'm am loving every minute of it.

(BTW Bruins are 6-3. They remain undefeated at home. One of the players beat the crap out of a Chicago player. Blood all over the ice. The old days are back.)

Yes, much to my dismay I think they are the new Sports City, the Pats are going strong, the Bosox seem almost unbeatable, and Boston College is going like gang busters. I do have a dirty little secret, I am actually a Boston Celtics fan since 1982, it was because of the guy I was dating back then, but he is LONG gone and I still kinda like the Celtics.

And to the Dodger Fan who said;

<<<< No. They need a tradition. Only the Celtics have a championship tradition. The Red Sox once had it in the early 1900's.>>>>

What the heck would you know about tradition? Oh yeah, you STOLE a tradition from Brooklyn! Doesn't matter, they will always be The BROOKLYN Dodgers! NO tradition for YOU!

As the gentlemen (Josh) from Ohio mention no Boston team has won anything...YET...as the great people from Ohio know because they didn't when any of there chances at a championship... I wouldn't say "Title Town USA" but it sure is great to be a New England sports fan at the moment..yes Josh we know only 1 out of two possible teams to win any kind of championship at the moment

Ah. A little early to tell. As long as Steinbrenner the Stupid and his sons, Laurel and Hardy, are running the show in New York, Boston has a REAL good chance, yes, of being the next great dynasty. Serves New York right. I was a Yankee fan until about 1981 or 2 and will be again if I can outlive the Steinbrenners Evil, but not until they're gone.

patriots are good so are the red sox, BC doesn't factor into pro sports... who cares about hockey and we all know how the yankees put together a "great" team but haven't done anything since 2000 so just putting together a great team doesn't qualify the Celts for anything YET...

Well, there is a case there. Boston WILL win the series (in 4 or 5 games). Who can beat the patriots? Except for their basketball team they are winners. So, yes I think a case can be made to call the "Titletown USA' at least for now.

it sure is a great time to be a sports fan in New England..... I can't wait to see each game...

Lets Go Red Sox.... Go Pats...

Daniel.. as for "buying" championships... Football has a salary cap, and Moss took a cut to play for the Patriots... and NO ONE has a larger salary than the Yankees... check your facts... ohhh and .. you don't think, that given the opportunity, your team wouldn't buy a championship?

Ummm shootmeinthebuttwithanarrow... the New England Patriots, began as the "Boston Patriots", changing their name to embrace all of New England.....
