do they actually realise the true meaning of the word...if they did...it should be of no interest to them WHATSOEVER....or do you think maybe God is leading them here.....

If you didn't have Atheists, there would be no use for this section.
Atheists "bash" Christians because of feelings of guilt and fear. Guilt comes in to play because of the Holy Spirit working on them. Fear happens because they are afraid that we are, of course, correct in believing in God and Jesus Christ.
Are Christians feeling guilty about not being Atheists? Yeah... OK! (I don't think so) Are Christians afraid of Atheists? Hardly! I pity them, but I am not afraid of them.
They hang out here to insult and bash, so it's our duty to not let them discourage our beliefs, and if the Holy Spirit is with us, we might just help Jesus save somebody by following His examples.
Please, Atheists, continue to bash us, we need to be challenged in not being offended and to still love our neighbor as we love ourselves (as Jesus taught), and to explain why we feel the way we do.

I got seriously hated on for asking a similar question.
I did get some good answers too though...
I guess we are all curious about religion no matter what our faith or creed. Also some like to make fun of others' beliefs whether Christian or atheist. And some like to argue. I wish there were more people on BOTH sides who wanted to have an open dialogue with "the other side".

Wow, I predicted 10 minutes ago that this question would be asked AGAIN in the next 15 minutes. Maybe I'm psychic and the supernatural is real! Or, maybe stupidity has no limitations.
BTW, if you direct a question at atheists, then the atheists come HERE to answer it, does that make YOU god by your own words, since you led them here?

I believe they have become disenchanted with organized religion and as a result begin to doubt the existance of God.
Then end up being drawn to a spirtuality posting to connect with the spirit of God minus the dogma.

I prefer the Aztec religion myself. As for why I'm here, just because I'm atheist doesn't mean religions don't interest me.

First after reading all these posts, i will say, GROW UP all of you. I am catholic, not by choice, but by my moms choice. I half believe in god and half dont. I consider my self atheist. You cannot condem others for not believing in any other religion. I am not against any other religion but the ones who go out and drag themselves to your door to shove it down your throat. I am into several types, tho again, its my choice, not someone elses. My parents are catholic and luthern, but my mom had the say so i guess where were we going to church and baptised. I still believe everyone should have their own choice, not by their parents to decide what religion if any they choose and not have it choosen for us. i was made to go to church, sunday school and every day catholic school by my mother, it totally sucked. 5 yrs of harsh nuns, drilling it all into you, well i for one was glad when we got taken out and put in public school, grades improved, ect. I would never do this to my child and i didnt have her baptized because i wanted her to have her own religion if she chooses too. everyone on this earth was made to believe in god. Basically it was shoved down our throats by our parents, like it was theris and so on to who ever started it. Does anyone know who started the acutal god belief? Dont be overly brash because others dont want to be sterotyped a certain religion. I myself believe in spirituality and all that is metaphysical, ect,, It is more solid to believe in that than a religion by our parents ingrained into us as children. Look around you, dont you read, dont you see whats going on? when ever i am in a book store, its the first place i head, into the metaphysical, new age. ect books. Sorry but i had to put my two cents worth into this.

this is religion and spirituallity so it doesn't matter if a christian or non-believer is on it! every person has the right of free speech to say what they think about religion & spirituality and every subject about it.
