It relies upon in case you comprise the early church, there have been particularly some Christian communities back then which does not be seen Christian in the event that they sprang up immediately (The Gnostic cosmology became substantially diverse on how they seen the god of Abraham). maximum might accept as true with Jesus as "'son' of 'god'" and 'messiah', yet in spite of the undeniable fact that, there is a few on the perimeters that don't. The resurrection is likewise an exceptionally common concept. Virgin beginning isn't that considerable. And what "unique sin" means varies a great deal. it relatively is a difficult taxonomy. that is like attempting to assert what's in common between an Reform Judaism, Orthodox Judaism, and Judaism as practiced earlier King Josiah. If I had to place it into words, i might say that all of them have confidence that Jesus, a Jewish dude who lived in first century Levant, became uniquely considerable, divinely so, in forgiving mankind of their incorrect nature. i think of that covers even the early gnostics. Oh, additionally he have been given achieved by utilising the government, undesrvingly so.

Denominations are NOT Gods idea! Thats right...you heard me correctly. WE are called to be of ONE Mind and to guard the UNITY of the SPIRIT.

Denominations are mans way of trying to reach God. TRUE Christianity is accepting GODS way of reaching down to man thru the finished work of Christ.

A true BELIEVER doesn't belong to a "denomination", but is a member of the NEW CREATION, the church the Body of Christ.

God wont be asking what "denomination" you were, but if you trusted in the finished work of Christ as your ONLY means of restoration to Him.

I am what is referred to as: "Non Denominational". That's so death can't find me!
lol
Just kidding.

I am liking he label, 'Reformed' a lot these days. When the author John Fox referred to the 'Reformed', he was referring to those who abstained from the Roman Catholic Church, and would use the Bible to learn what being a Christian was really about: Pre Roman Catholicism.

And that's what I do. I do not go to a traditional 'church', but 'churching' is about a gathering of Christians; to me. It's about worship and learning about Jesus and whatever else is in the Bible. I like it that way. It keeps me from the sometimes appalling traditions of certain churches; that I don't have to suffer through them.

So I stick to what Jesus said, and what the Bible is telling me through the Holy Spirit. God works with me directly, so that I can grow in Him the way He wants me to, not the way the 'church' wants me to.

Catholic all the way! However, there are some things which I don't agree with. I think as long as you believe in God and that you try to live a good life, the slight variations are insignificant. I disagree with the contraception issues. Would God want children into the world who were not going to be loved? The world is overcrowded as it is.

Orthodox Christian, not a denomination really, we are predenominational... What makes us different is we have Christ as the Cornerstone and the apostles and prophets teachings as the foundation, Eph. 2:20. As opposed to protestants who only have the Bible plus personal interpretation as their foundation.

I'm Catholic, but to be honest I don't see "denominations", I just see Christianity. I think that is a good way of seeing it as well.

No denomination. I am a member of the original Christian Church that has taught the fullness of truth in unity for 2,000 years, in full accord with the stated will of God, "that they all may be one". Denominations didn't begin forming until 1,500 years later, in open defiance of the stated will of God.

Church of the Nazarene.

I don't think of anything as "separating" us from others. We just have a preference in how we worship, but really we all belong to ONE church that includes everyone who has chosen to follow God.

BUT if you want to know what makes Nazarenes different than some other churches, we believe that God's spirit can help us to live without sin if we chose to let Him give us that grace. In other words, we don't believe Christians continue to sin every day, because God gives us the strength not to! Of course it's possible for a Christian to slip away from God and start sinning again, but as long as we want to live without sin, God can help us to do just that.

Another thing about the Church of the Nazarene is it has a HUGE emphasis on compassionate ministries, which is one thing I really like about my church. It's so easy in American life especially to forget about people in our country and around the world in desperate need, and I'm glad my church gives so many opportunities to help others.

Nondenominational.
I came from a Presbyterian family, attended churches of other denoms. in my early adulthood, threw myself into theological education, and realized the churches are only divided by organizational structure, methods of polity, and yes, there are a few (very few) doctrinal differences on minor points.
But, in this present time, the doctrinal positions are beginning to widen, not just a crack any longer, but a yawning chasm has developed.
The big thing is to find a church that is really God's church, and not just a church that is "their" church for God.
