OK so the dog is male correct?

Is the dog neutered?

When he goes to the bathroom is it number one or number 2 or both?

Is he drinking more water than he used to? Gotta keep an eye on that.It could be a clue.

I recently had this same problem with my dog.He would not stop peeing in the house. And he increased his drinking easily 5-6 fold. He would literally drink an entire bowl of water one right after the other if I put it in front of him.

My scenerio played out like this. Went to vet and basically its a matter of eliminating what it isn't with this. First they check for diabetes and kidney function. Had to bring a sample of urine to the vet. He had to be off water for 12 hours prior to taking it.This will tell them if kidneys are working properly.

He also had a prostate exam.Because he was not neutered.
They found he had an enlarged prostate.THis can be normal for dogs that are still attached. And CAN be the source of this problem. They also Took blood and did testing.Thats for the diabetes and white/red blood cells. The urinary tract/bladder/kidney infection test is separate.I did not have this done initially but I would recommend you do. My dog also had to have a sonogram to look for cancer.

All told the ordeal from start to finish cost me close to a thousand bucks. But that because I didn't do it the right way.

He ultimately had to be neutered and was diagnosed with prostatitus. Neutering is the only way to fix the problem. If your dogs already fixed thats good you can rule it out.

To save money get all the tests done.It will be expensive but if its infection and they don't know exactly which one it is you will end up spending more money than you need to on the meds.

If its none of those thing than it could be behavioral or it could be something in his brain thats not working correctly. Hopefully hes not neutered.Bladder infections in male dogs aren't that common. especially if hes a "clean" dog. Yunno constantly licking himself down there.

If you have anymore questions you can email me and Ill try to answer them.

First buy the wee pads for puppies, sick, old, or confined pets. The dog is doing the best it can and going in atleast an acceptable place (small maybe tiled) Next? don't know if number 1 or 2 or both. so?

Take him to a vet. He may have a bladder infection or something. My puppy got that once. I would definitely take your dog to a doctor.

Maybe the dog has a bladder or urinary tray infection and he just can't hold it any longer.

Your dog may be sick if this is new behaviour. Go to a reputable animal doctor.
