I have mixed feelings about this I feel like it is nature for dogs to have puppies and I am sure there has been many puppies have puppies and Dogs are nothing like humans they don't have the responsibilities humans have so why compare a dog to a human, I have had dogs around all my life and yes they may be a little young but it is nature I have had a couple of puppies get pregnant at 6 to 7 months old and i have had dogs 3 to 4 years old to get pregnant and the only thing that i noticed different is the younger one did have but 2 to 4 puppies and the older on had a big litter of puppies... I think you should just do what you think is best, you are the only one that know your dog...I am gonna breed my little shitzu and she is only 6 months old but I feel like she is going to be okay and a good mother..I wish you look and don't let know one discourage you..

Absolutely NOT!!!!!
It would be like a 12 year old human having a baby.
It can happen but it's a bad thing for mother and child.
Don't do it as it could cost you the life of your dog.
I breed for 15 years, the 3rd cycle of the female was the absolutely first time I would even consider my males being used for stud service. I charged $500+ for this so you know I'm serious.
My kennel females were not bred until 4th cycle (earliest). Usually they were 2-21/2 years old. They had to have at least one major ring win to be considered for breeding.
Should spaying be your consideration?
Why are you even considering breeding your female?
There are too many unwanted pups in rescue and Humane Societies now. Why add to the problem.

No, it's not ok. You should have the dog spayed now. You don't know what you are doing. Don't bring more unwanted puppies into the world. You are irresponsible to even ask about this. If you don't know, you aren't a good / reputable breeder. Leave the breeding to the professionals, and have your dogs spayed. Don't make her suffer, get her spayed and let her live a happy life. Don't be irresponsible...

A female canine is still a puppy when having her first season. She is not physically mature enough to be getting pregnant and safely carrying a litter of puppies. Her own body is still developing and she needs all the nutrition she is taking in, a litter of pups would deprive her off getting what she needs to continue to develop normally as they would take vital nutrients and vitamins for their own growth in the uterus.

A female should not be bred before her second birthday. Please, take care of your girl and let her grow up healthy and happy without puppies.

1st off......my answer is probably going to piss some people off, but I really don't mind.

My doberman went into heat at 10 months. I seperated her from my male while I wasn't home. Well one night when I got off of work, my male dobe had actually unlatched his fence and had gotten to her. (they were locked up when I pulled up) I called the vet the next day to give her a shot, because I was worried about how young she was. My vet actually talked me out of it. I let her go on with the pregnancy and she done GREAT. I helped her deliver the puppies, but only because I thought she might have been scared. But after everything, she was an excellent mother. HOWEVER, because of her being so young herself, she only had 4 pups. AND- she did get aggravated with them after they were up and walking. But overall- everything went fine. I think her having puppies actually calmed her down a bunch. Good luck to you. Just remember- if you do happen to breed your dog, do some reading on it. You will be amazed of the stuff you don't know.

No.... they are still toooooo young to have a litter. If you really want to breed her, wait until about the 4th or 5th heat cycle (at the very least)

No, it is absolutely not a good idea.

By the way, if you have to ask this, you probably shouldn't be mating your dog.

PLEASE, Do not let that puppy mate!! She is entirely too young!! Let her be a puppy, she deserves it!! Wait until she is 4, she will be more maternal and will not reject the puppies!!!!
