A person can be Native American, and not look it at all. My children are 1/4 Choctaw, have olive complexions, dark eyes, dark hair -- but their cousins, also 1/4 Choctaw, have fair complexions, blue eyes and blonde hair.
My children and their cousins also proudly carry their roll number cards to prove their heritage. Their great great great grandmother endured alot of pain and heartache while being issued that roll number.
I also used to know a woman with fair skin, freckles, auburn hair and green eyes. That woman was 1/8 Ute.
There are many many many people with mixed heritages. You can't discount someone's heritage simply because they "don't look like one".

So she doesnt run around with feathers on her head and a tiny little skirt made of the animal her husband killed last week, what does an Indian look like to you? Im a bit of Cherokee Indian, not even sure how much but i am also Polish and some other things, when people ask what i am i include all that i am aware of. I dont think people lie about what they are and if they do who gives a crap? Be proud of what you are and forget everyone else.

That is ridiculous I am 1/4 Indian and 1/4 Irish and the other half is Hinze 57 but I claim to be Indian, and Irish Do you think because I have blond hair and green eyes that I should not be able to claim my heritage, or is my sister whom has black hair and has the Indian completion not able to claim that she is Irish. Pull your head out. I am not jealous of my sister and nor is she of me and neither of us look like each other although we are the same heritage

Nope. You shouldn't judge people on their appearance.. what if some said the same things you say about your sil? then how would you feel?.. If she really has mix races in the family then she has the right. Same goes for you..

Genetics are freakyyyy.....
if she's always lying, you might be right.
However, watch some of the Maury show, and you'll see enough baby drama about parents giving birth and the father doesn't think it's his based on eye color.
Wait until she has some kids. She may end up with some darker toned kids based on her genetics, even if she looks 'Snow white' white.
Oh, and btw - it's just a skin color. Judge her on the basis of her behavior and not on the color of her skin.

Both of my parents are Mexican and some of their grandchildren are fair skinned with blue eyes and blond hair. My family and I think it's just hilarious when other people see my parents with their grandchild and ask if they're babysitting a friend's kids? My parents tell them these are their grandkids, why do they want to know for? Then they'll tell the kids right there in front of the other people...they're some nosy *** people, aren't they?

No, not in the least. I look Native American, my husband does not( he has green eyes, fair skin), we are both enrolled in our tribes. Mixed heritage is very common. I have seen blue eyed, red headed Native Americans. We come in all colors these days.

No it's not wrong. You can't always tell what ethnicity a person is. People don't always look like their ethnicities but that doesn't mean they aren't what they say they are and it certainly doesn't mean they are jealous.
