My beliefs are just as good as the next person. I look down upon no one for what they believe as long as their beliefs doesn't harm others.

Well, whether and why my beliefs are any better than another person's depends entirely on what the next person's beliefs are. But think of other irrational areas besides faith here - if I see a baby getting abused and react with amusement or a if I receive love from someone and react with hatred then the normative reactions clearly set a standard by which most people would judge me objectively bad, or at least those reactions as bad. Same deal with faith and belief.

This isn't a competition, and that's what so many religious fanatics try to make it into. Who can collect the most people to believe in their religion, like there's going to be some prize. I know what I believe in, and that's all that matters to me. I have enough respect for others that I don't force my beliefs on them, and know that they have every right to believe whatever they want to, as long as it doesn't infringe on MY right to hold MY beliefs.

Nothing. They aren't better than the next person's. My beliefs are mine, and theirs are theirs. We may not agree on some things but it doesn't mean either one's beliefs are better than the others.

The nearer you are to him, the more likely it is that you are on the better path. However you have no means of knowing if the guy stood in the bus queue in front of you is a lot closer than you or the inverse or even on the same path.

Only God knows that.

Depends on what is said/believed.

Absolutely nothing, but I don't really have any responsibility over "the next person" or what they believe. I try to do what I think is right, and hope that others feel free to do the same.
