I love to go tanning. I go to the tanning bed three times a week every other week. It's my 20 for the day to just relax and hide from the world a bit. I'm part Native American so I tan very easily. I like having a tan, I think it makes people look more healthy.

Tanning is relaxing to me & with the hussle & bussle of every day life it is the only time & I have some peace & quiet. But I really wish that I was just naturally tan because it is so bad for my skin....Oh well I cant have every thing. I just hope that they come out with something soon that will tan you but not look orange & not damage the skin....

Tanning has been proven to kill the bacteria associated with tanning, relieve depression, stimulate healthy cell function and whole host of other positive benefits. I'm in the sun as much as I can be! It does clear my skin, gives me a healthy out-door look and no, I don't wear sunscreen - ever.

However, I don't use petro-chemical lotions, creams, skin-strippers and all those products with proven negative effectso on your skin.

The skin cancer rate has doubled in less than twenty years, there wasn't much skin cancer BEFORE our economy got flooded with chemical-laden skin care products that break down the ability of your natural defenses to protect your body from UV rays. I doubt I'll get skin cancer - people are told to wear sunblock because most of the body care products on the market contain known carcinogens and other nasty, organ-affecting, offspring-deforming chemicals.

I don't use them, so I get to safely enjoy the sun.
And, I really look GREAT with a tan!

I spend a lot of time outdoors, so I usually do have a nice tan : ) & my hair changes color (naturaly) with the seasons, so in winter I like my lighter skin too. so to be permantly tan, would be kinda boring. I like change & variaty in my look.
